Always seems to tweak muscles late on in games - suggests a conditioning problem.

Am I right in thinking Tiote is only 1 yellow away from a ban? He gets booked in this and the team for Wigan will be even more horrific. -
Most annoying thing about it is yet another reprieve for Williamson.

Jonas isn't too bad...

Pardew said: “It’s the intensity you need from the players to play on a Thursday night then again on the Sunday. Well, using virtually 2 different teams a week will prevent the above. Some people want to be fooled so they will be fooled. It’s much easier than facing the facts. I just think the situation is a little more nuanced – is it: a. Pardew is a SHIT manager b. We’re struggling to adapt to playing twice a week with reduced prep/conditioning time for Prem games and have had key players missing all season c. a little from column a, a little from column b

They have the worst defence in the league and haven't kept a clean sheet all season so I think we'll score, just hope we don't spend the whole game sitting back and invite pressure.
-
I know he'll probably get ripped for making excuses but there's a lot makes sense in that article IMO.

Yep we could have really used this guy instead of spending all summer chasing shadows with Debauchy. Silly missed opportunity, din't care what he says in the press, he would have chosen us over them if he had had the chance, obviously we never made a serious offer. Have you completely ignored his quotes then. Have you completely chosen to fail to grasp what players say to the press, it's not always truthful, hello !! He's not going to say oh I wish I had gone to Newcastle instead because they just finished 5th in the league and Southampton had just been promoted and likely to struggle, you pleb. He even says he didn't get a chance to talk to Pards, we didn't get that far because we probably bid half what Southampton and market value was. And it wasn't about game time at all because he could have gotten the same at Palace and he would have been first choice here with only bloody Simpson in his way !! I bet if he said he really wanted to come to Newcastle but Pardew fucked up the negotiations you would've believed the bastard!

Yep it's worrying and really not acceptable at all, injuries have nothing to do with it, huge smoke screen and very convenient for Pards. They do man, they really do. Not the whole story, granted, but you just can't say taking 10 players out of a squad has zero impact.

7 of their 12 points have come from playing over an hour of a game against 10 men - they could easily be in a much bigger hole right now.

No Mulumbu for WBA - he'll be a big miss.
-
That's pretty much spot on I reckon - one of the standout features of our struggles recently is the almost complete lack of intelligent off-the-ball movement.
-
We can try put a positive spin on it and hope that now the "give it to Hatem and hope he skins everyone on his own" plan is out the window we might actually graft a bit better as a team.
-
This is true actually, my 7 a-side team play like this as well and I'm screaming at everyone to f***ing calm down. Aye, but that's probably just so you can get your breath back.

Seems we do: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php 9 more than the mackems for instance - that's pretty much a whole team.

Southampton team that beat QPR: 12 Gazzaniga 02 Clyne 03 Yoshida 06 Fonte 23 Shaw (Fox - 74' ) 04 Schneiderlin 10 Ramirez (S Davis - 61' ) 18 Cork 20 Lallana 42 Puncheon 07 Lambert That looks suspiciously like a side that is going to try keep the ball on the deck and pass it around. Could be another long afternoon....

Gaël Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis
Varadi replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
You can tell he's been training with Tiote as he tries the same turning out of trouble routine that Cheik uses - problem is he isn't strong enough yet so quite often gets muscled out/falls over instead. -
AAh man, it's going to be so poor.
