We play five a side with a guy and he is the ball greediest cunt I think I've ever seen. Tbf, he's got pretty good tekkers but you literally can't walk a ball into the net in five a side. The most infuriating type of player out there by a mile. Talented, but useless in a team sport, just doesn't get it at all.

I guess we're all playing fantasy football here but MD at RB would give us the balance to play the 4-3-3 we've all being talking/dreaming about. AP has indicated on the article on co.uk that VA will be playing (mostly) as part of our midfield triumvirate so if he has to play LB or RB we'll be weakening that set up. Debuchy would give us the attacking fullback MO you need for that 4-3-3 to work effectively on both sides of the pitch. I've nothing against Simpson in a defensive mode but clearly going forward/finding a pass isn't a strong part of his game. Anybody playing us will know that and can shut him out pretty easily allowing them to concentrate on other areas knowing that flank is "slightly weaker" Put the Debuch in there and the whole complexion of our pressing play changes immeasurably.

Just back from the game. What a terrific finish from wor Shane really smacked it clean too, great finish. General play was more than patchy if I'm being fair, really looked to me like a guy that has missed pre-season (which he has) as his movement off the ball was poor and laboured for large parts and any runs that he did make mostly fizzled out with being outpaced or muscled of the ball. That being said, I wasn't expecting too much from him as he hasn't has much game time due to his injury. Still think he's going to have a great career, just has something about him. As an aside, one of our regulars couldn't make it tonight so was replaced by another guys brother, Newcastle fan Then I get talking to a guy behind me (who has been there for the last eight years) about Fergie's goal (I was going mental ) turns out he's a big Newcastle fan too.
