  1. He was talking about when we were 2-1 up and didn't say it was a bad thing, he said he agreed with us and in future he wants us to be able to deliver on that without exposing ourselves too much at the back. It appeared to be meant as a compliment but it was a bit of a strange one. Pardew basically said something along the lines of 'the fans asking for another goals resulted in the players losing sight of their defensive duties and as a result we conceded a 3rd goal' after the Palace 3-3 game iirc. That's not how I interpreted it, it seemed to me he was referring to towards the end of the game the fans were pushing us on "a little too much". I could of course be wrong.
  2. Yeah, I heard those comments! He's going to have to get used to it. The fans rightly wanting the team to go for a last minute winner in what was an end to end game.
  3. He played well, we did seem to lose shape when he went off. My only real issue with him is his height, which can be a real problem when teams exploit it. He just won't win many high balls in the middle of the park; which Southampton did highlight a number of times today.
  4. Agree with this. Players are like mercenaries, they'll switch allegiances no end if it suits them.
  5. It's got nothing to do with anyone else at the end of the day, do what you want to do. Those that feel strongly enough to boycott, fine. Same for those who want to go and support the team.
  6. Free though & school holidays.
  7. I've always rated Mehdi personally & will be sad to see him go. Had some outstanding games at CDM particularly Liverpool at home & Man City in the league cup. Never really had a decent crack of the whip imo which is a shame.
  8. Wants to stay according to this. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/fabricio-coloccini-i-want-to-finish-my-career-at-newcastle-1-7389411
  9. It really doesn't matter what they think or say. It's only a black n white shirt and it's perfectly understandable people don't want to wear Wonga on their chests. No different to buying a toffs shirt.
  10. Decided I'm going to. Not bought any merchandise since Wonga.
  11. I hope he doesn't follow that cock Pardew to Palace.
  12. Can't see our defence resembling too much what we've been fielding so far. Wouldn't panic. Just get another centre back & get rid of that arse Williamson we should be fine.
  13. Why so long to convene a panel? It's not Xmas ffs. I do wonder if this was Man Utd or Chelsea if they'd be having these issues? Or am I being cynical?
  14. If it's not confirmed today, I'd begin to think there is some kind of problem personally.
  15. If it's medical day today, none of the usual airport/Benton pics?
  16. Can't understand why McClaren would play that back 4, unless it's purely for fitness.
  17. Not sure what to make of this result. Good to score 3 but conceding 4 to a 2nd tier US side; but then looking at the back 4 is it surprising?
  18. You can see them all in the dugout behind thinking what a twat.
  19. Wonder how McClaren would've got on with HBA. Could've done with a fit HBA on the flank putting crosses in for Mitro.
  20. What's the chances of him not being granted a visa? Next to nowt?
  21. Aaron's can get a decent cross in, and Janmaat. Other than that, not so much. We do need a good crosser of the ball.
  22. One of his ages is 20, yes Ah, he's one of those.
  23. Is it right he's only 20? Quite pleasing that Mitrovic & Mbemba are so young, plenty opportunity to improve & they'll both probably go straight into our side.
  24. Judging by the picture and the length of time it's taken for them to get him up here, I think they must've driven him from Brussels in a mini-van.
