WTF, this is embarassing by the FA. If you're going to dish out a punishment stick to your guns or you look a twat! Probs cos they sweeped Joe Hart's headbutt under the carpet.

Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace, Saturday 22/3/14 @ 3pm (Not on TV)

They've been given 2,800 but haven't quite sold out yet but apparently not many left. Good effort form them considering they only took 1,200 to sunderland last week. Clearly a trip up to Newcastle is a far more attractive proposition. Looks like it's going to be a complete sell out which is remarkable really. Shame we don't have a team to match the support. In fairness their fans have been a breath of fresh air in the prem this season. Some of the noisiest by a stretch. Probably my favourite set of fans from London. Always found Charlton pretty decent as well mind. Aye, none of the massive f*cking ego's the rest of them have. -

Palace fans apparently got extra tickets for Sat. Any idea how many they're bringing as noticed on the stadium plan all of that Leazes Corner is greyed out? -

I'd go with something like ElDiablo's team, but take Remy out of the side and I lose all confidence we'll get a result. -

If I remember correctly the adidas deal was streets ahead in terms of finance to what we have been paid by Puma, seeing as adidas dumped us following relegation and we were on the skids at the time. I'd have thought the club could surely now negotiate a bigger deal with either Puma or another manufcaturer, giving we're supposedly one of the bigger sellers replica kit wise in the PL. Personally, I'd love adidas back. -
Aye it's a big improvement. I wish they would carry this policy on in other areas, the facebook page etc. The website could do with an upgrade as well, ours is shite compared to most other PL clubs.
-
I notice journo's have taken the "One day, I'll play for one of Europe's big 5 clubs, or a very big club at least" quote, and dropped the "one day" bit.
-
Ah OK. In fairness the kits aren't all just carbon copies of each other like they tend to be over here. Wish we had Adidas again, even the 10 year old gear I've got is in better knick than the newer puma stuff. Abysmal quality.
-
Every team in MLS sponsored by Adidas? Bizarre.
-
Watched the end of it on a stream, looked like a bit of bother kicking off. Matched stopped for flares being chucked on the pitch. That was also olympiakos first loss of the season home or away
-
Just scored a belter for panathinaikos away at olympiakos. Massive derby game that one. Winning 0-3.
-
This is what worries me, I think we will sign De Jong on a permanent, the fee has been agreed at £8mill supposedly. Remy though will most likely be away, where are we going to get a like for like replacement? Not many around.
-
Come on, let's be fair, the majority of the second half we dominated the game and could've had a couple. The first half on the other hand was pretty damned depressing. I'm just pleased they showed a bit of passion and commitment and it did get the crowd going in the second half. The crowd definitely had a say in that win imo, encouraging if not demanding the team push forward. I know I certainly celebrated the goal like a wildman. That's what footballs all about.
-
Surprised if he doesn't get fined for saying that.
-
I was moaning about Anita in the first half. Game seemed to be passing him by and I honestly think it's height that's a problem when playing in that CDM role, the ball just whistles over his head and he doesn't win enough 50/50's purely as the other guy is nearly always bigger and stronger than him. The last 20 mins or so though, he was fantastic, all over the place, pinging the ball about (that little scooped pass), setting off on mazy runs etc. If he would play like that every game I'd stick him in an advanced role behind a front 2 all the time lol!
-
Your presuming we'd get a Laudrup in, we're more likely to get Dennis Wise, Joe Kinnear, Trevor Francis, any other washed up managers we can think of? I also think the form will turn round, starting at the weekend. He was given a target of top 10 in the summer by the board and we're still on course for that. They won't sack him as he's hitting all targets with nowt being spent.
-
How? Erm, we may be battling with the pack at the bottom, which we aren't. We're sitting 9th, with no permanent signings in over 12 months and a net spend over the last 4 years of what -£40m?. Pardew isn't the problem imo, he's a symptom of the problem. Until the real issue is kicked to the curb switching managers wouldn't make a blind bit of difference imo.
-
That's exactly the point though, who would we get in under Ashley!? You all know damn well we won't go for a well known, 'big name' manager. It would be another 2nd rate appointment. I'm no Pardew fan, but I can realise that things could be a lot worse. Sacking him, would only make the circus and negativity surrounding the club even worse. Fine, sack him when Ashley has sold the club, I don't see the point until then.
-
I would never turn up to a game hoping we lose, surprised at the results of this poll tbh.

Winnet Sports claim Glenn Hoddle linked with DOF role
NUFC_Chris replied to Paully's topic in Football
Winnet Sports? Never heard of it lol. I've always rated Hoddle as a coach/manager. Would be a step up from pardew anyway imo. Did a fantastic job with England, and knows how to set up teams to the play game in the right manner. Personally if he came in as DOF I'd be fairly happy with that. -
I suppose it's out of the realms of possibility he walked up and then back down like.
