I think what the first quote is saying, and I may be wrong here - so please do correct me, is that Villareal didn't have a history, as in they have no illustrious past to compare to, nor 'live up' as it's an expectation of the fans that that's where they should be, ie in the top flight division, and winning trophys. Yes, Miggy has added a few, but if you look at other teams they have attackers in depth - which is something we don't. I think it will be a time will tell answer for Isak, hopefully he'll be the real deal, but in January if we want to 'really' be pressing for that top 6 finish then at least 3 new players are needed.
