Think a burnley home win is going to be a big ask looking at the wolves team he's put out. But you never know. Come on Burnley.
-
Brighton 1 nil up I see.
-
Excuse my ignorance but what does gash refer to ? I take it it's either good or bad ? Ah just seen Stifler's post above mine @ so he's wank then.
-
Looking at the remaining games, liv, arse, mnc and Burnley. Can only see getting 3 pts in the last game tbh.
-
Sorry but I think you are right. There is a limit on the number of teams in Europe from one country. I seem to remember two English team winning arsenal and someone else and it ended up fhat the winner of the Belgium Cup was entered into Europe.
-
Would we be thinking of a burnley win tomorrow I think it is as any result will put everton in the relegation places. Love it.
-
Now this may get interesting. Burnley are now 3 pts behind scousers, but are level on goal difference. So if things go their way then the scousers could go down. I'll have to check the fixtures but it could happen.
-
Am old school, so a win for me,as it will make everton look over their shoulders rather than looking to leeds. As also prefer the scouse twats to go down. But hey each to their own, but I'm in no doubt that whilst there is a chance of us going down I don't think it will happen. Will too much for all the teams below us to get those points to get ahead of us.

Age old question- a win for Burnley a good thing? As keeps pressure on Everton ?
-
Amazingly their away form is better than their home form.
-
Was about to ask if draw ok, but Brentford get last minute winner.
-
Just aside on these semi finals being at Wembley, the reason from years ago was that the FA owed a load of money because of the over running costs of the new Wembley. Anyone know how much they owe ? As this is the reason that the semis will always be set there.
-
Agreed, I was at Stoke away some years ago and that same thing happened.
-
Just seen him in the half time break. Also just heard of the reason for the comments hope the Manchester fuckers don't win another game.

Can someone post the link to this person or reddit page - as i'm all for stats etc but could do with some divine inspiration on the excel (that is what this looks like) front as i'd like to take my excel workings to the next step - and this looks like the job. Please PM me their details etc - many thanks in advance.

It's like motorsport - when someone is trying to catch the person in front, then someone comes up behind them - they become focused in not losing the place than in trying to catch the person up. This is what I think will happen to the bottom 4, namely Everton will be trying to just get more points than those below - as the gap to the team above, whilst reachable - isn't the same to the team below - hence if they lose and Burnley win their next games the pressure will be on them and not specifically focused on us. Next games are - Everton - Man U - Sat 12:30 Watford - Leeds - Sat 15:00 Norwich - Burnley - Sun 14:00 Would like Man U, Leeds, Norwich Wins.

Newcastle United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers, 8/4/2022 @ 20:00 (Sky)

All good, but Willock for Shelvey, after seeing some of his 'running backs' yesterday - looks like he's been on the pies again - needs to get fit quick. -
It looks like the soothsayers aren't out of bed yet, so the prophecies of doom and gloom haven't been posted. All I'll say is that I'm still, and always have been in the 0,1,2 camp (more the 0 camp). Because as I see it, with the run in that Watford have, they need to win and draw to get above Everton, then if they win - there is a gap of 6 points (2 wins) to get above Leeds - so myself i don't see that happening with the run ins that the two team have. Also given the fact that the season will end on the last day, Everton will have to play a lot of games, against good teams in a short period of time. Everton - 10 to play - bur MNU LEI liv CHE lei BRE ars (wat CRY these two TBA) Watford - 8 to play - LEE BRE mnc BUR cry LEI che (EVE this one TBA) BOLD at home.

I'm doth my cap to you sir, must have patience of a Saint typing all that in. Check https://www.premierleague.com/fixtures for all fixtures and those to be re arranged.

Balls on the bath - who's going down?
South-Cheshire-Toon replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Issue with Everton is that they will have some many games to play, there are already four that need to be re-arranged from covid/fa cup - and that's not including any that have to be re-arranged if they get through to the next round. And all of these will have to be played by season end, I can see it being like Notts Forest, they had to play 4 in one week, Sat, Tues, Thurs, Sat - this was before the days of Sky. -

Just done a check, and out of the bottom 7 teams, there are the following number of '6 pointers' Newcastle - 3, Everton, Norwich, Burnley. Brentford - 3, Watford, Everton, Leeds. Leeds - 2, Watford, Brentford. Everton - 4 - Newcastle, Brentford, Watford, Burnley. Watford - 4 - Leeds, Brentford, Burnley, Everton. Burnley - 4 - Norwich, Watford, Newcastle, Everton. Norwich - 2 - Burnley, Newcastle. Also interesting to note that Watford have taken more away points than at home, their away form may be what keeps them up. -

That's the $64M question - How many people will be there - does anyone know how many season ticket holders there are ? i forget the ground capacity, but if a sizeable amount of people are season ticket holders then they ain't getting in. This I think - as our end will most probably be sold out - could act in our favour. But prior to the game last night I said I'd say this - " As much as I'd like us to win every game from now to eternity - the 'run' will have to come to an end, so I wouldn't be too unhappy, with the league position we are in, for us to lose on Sunday." A lose might be hard to take given the run we are on, but it's only the same as the surprise when winning when on a winless run as per earlier in the season, but I feel as thought the team are now bonding, and the moral in the camp wouldn't be too dented if we did lose. Am predicting a 3-1 home win, as much as i'd like a win, you never know thought. -
Quite a quandary, as if you look at the table - Villa - 30 pts Lei - 27 pts New - 25 pts So a win for leicester would then create a phycological 'gap' of 5 points, which i feel we wouldn't want, however a draw, would then enable us to still be in touching distance of moving further up the table, and dependant on scores perhaps bring Leicester and Villa (and perhaps others) into the relegation battle. I'm hoping for a draw, as that would be better for us as I see it.

If someone knows a way of cutting and pasting text into this forum then let me know as all formatting seems to be lost whenever I do a cut and paste from excel. But yes, if I can get the paste working then I'll update the table, as it seems that for some it's a bit confusing, or it is their brain power ?
