Is he out of contract now?
-
Be interesting to see how they use him. Might be thinking of making him a wingback.
-
If Chiesa could reclaim the form he had pre-injury, good god almighty.

I’m not your pal, friend.

The name is familiar, but I can’t remember if they were linked with us or not.

I mean, RedBird is a private capital firm. Of course they’re looking to make money.
-
How was that your expectation?

Surplus to requirements if they land Rice?

He’s not yet a starter like the others. There’s definitely a role for him to play though.

I do think signing Tonali precludes a move for McTominay in particular, both being 8/6 hybrids. I bet McTominay was on their list, albeit at a much lower price point, given that he is a very similar player to Longstaff. They’ll want a more attack-minded midfielder now.

Good thing is that I don’t doubt his commitment to NUFC either. Doesn’t strike me as the type who’d give anything less than 100% even if he were homesick.

He does it purely to spite you two.

Beat Arsenal to the punch, replace Gundogan, add the best English midfielder not named Jude. Makes a lot of sense for them.

Loving the emphasis on midfield. Shows that Howe understands where matches are won and lost, and that the club recognizes how thin we were in the middle of the park last season. A midfield with Bruno, Tonali, Maddison/Szoboszlai, Joe, Willock, and Longstaff to choose from is outstanding.

I do wonder how much of a factor the Milan ownership/sacking of Maldini plays into his decision making. If he’s as much a Rossonero as is being made out, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gave us a few good years and wanted to return.

need to come up with a term for Fab Romano-induced derangement.

Double pivot with Rodri. De Bruyne ahead.

Folks don’t know shit.
-
It basically boiled down to, “nuh uh you’re not gonna be CL contenders so you have to sell him to us.”
-
The club and player will sign off on the transfer, but the Milan supporters will take to the streets and convince him to stay.

which system?
