  1. Does a keeper really need to be as slim as a pacey, tricky winger though? Not that I'm defending Pardew or the club but perhaps there are different weight requirements for certain positions. Doesn't really matter because HBA clearly isn't overweight anyway.
  2. How much should Ashley be paying us for the Sports Direct advertising on the stadium? Is there any precedent for the amount? Need to settle an argument. Or how much would a lucrative deal cost someone else to advertise at SJP?
  3. Someone posted that article on facebook and one of the responses: "Signing 6 players with the promise of more to come has obviously rattled you! Never thought it would happen did you? Been made to look a mug havn;t you? So lets give a big speech to the masses to camaflauge your lack of faith. I thought the likes of you had been quite for a while, but us 'happy clappers' or supporters as I like to call them will get behind our team and roar them on to victory. While you can sit in your room thinking 'but I had it all worked out, how can I redeem myself!' People like you actually wish for failure to prove a mystical point! That's what gets my goat......I hear Chelsea have signed Costa, maybe you should switch allegiance......." Literally brainwashed, and too thick to think of the bigger picture and think about whats happened before this.
  4. Hes the done the bare minimum, but because it happens to be all at once people think its a massive achievement and that Mike is ready to see us compete, its absolute bullshit.
  5. People going way over the top like, properly going mental and calling him a c*** and that on twitter, no need, thoughtless yes but no malice intended clearly, what would he have to gain from that? s*** footballer though.
  6. Don't ever remember being linked with him... Would love to dare dream we'd be linked with a highly-regarded young CB but not a chance. I remember hearing him say similar about Remi Streete, have they given up on him already?
  7. He doesn't look fat at all in that picture like, actually looks like hes packed on a fair bit of muscle, his stomach isn't fat either.
  8. Was glancing over RTG earlier and someone posted up their strongest 11 which most agreed with, which included Borini and it looked absolutely shocking, I'd say about 2 of them would make our bench but they really do have a very poor looking starting 11 and that's without mentioning the dross they have on the bench. I would be worried about how this season will pan out if I was them. Edit: We'll still get beat home and away by them again though.
  9. Him and Johnson were their best players last season.
  10. I absolutely love the guy, I think he should be starting every game for us, however when you look at this: He really doesn't look in the best shape, of course I have no idea how much this affects his fitness, if at all.
  11. A large portion of our fanbase really is deluded like, just browsing various social media apps, and so many of our fans think we will finish top 4 this season. Madness.
  12. Happy birthday you smarmy horrible prick.
  13. Fully agree that had it been one of the managers favourites who came back with a bit of chubb nothing would have been said on the matter.
  14. I agree with it being 90% Pardews fault, but you can't deny he really does look out of shape for a professional player. The question I suppose is whether or not if affects his performance or fitness levels. Have they actually bothered to put him through his paces or is it just an excuse to get shot of him "you look fat, get out"
  15. I blame Pardew for the treatment of Ben Arfa and for ruining him as a player, but hes certainly not doing himself any favours. If he was really was interested in playing then he should have returned in tip top shape, surely he realises that if he is out of shape that no other team will want him aswell, not to mention him not getting a game for us. Is he really happy with sitting in the reserves for a full year, if so again that tells us a bit more about HBA than it does about Pardew.
  16. It's better than just selling a player and not replacing him, which is what we've come to expect. Absolutely, I'm not arguing with that. Just people seem to be genuinely happy that Ashley has profited from a transfer situation.
  17. Sick of morons banging on about how its "good business" to get rid of a 28 year old right back for a 24 year old right back and gaining 7 million pounds in the process. Why the fuck do our fans care about how much profit Ashley makes FFS. Not to mention the fact its premature to say its good business when he hasn't kicked a ball in this league. Happy with the transfer though, looks like he will be a good signing.
  18. I hope he goes to a fellow PL club and tears the league up, making Pardew look even more of a clueless bellend.
  19. Leading 1-0, try to hold onto said lead, lose match. Pardew learning from his mistakes I see.
  20. Its fucking echoing now, as if hearing his voice once wasn't bad enough!
