  1. 18 assists in one season Never knew it was that many mind. Lord how we could do with a player like that back on our left side.
  2. Tiote didn't have the best of season, but last season he was more than instrumental in our fifth place finish. Then again, name me a player who has played to their potential this season just past. No need to single out Tiote this much. An abomination FFS. Sissoko came here in January to a new team in a new league, grabbed us by the neck and practically saved our bacon in those first few matches. He played 11 matches in 30 days from what I've read. Fatigue was an issue towards the end of the season, but to say he can't control a football is rubbish. You also say he was constantly losing the ball, which is obviously hyperbole, but may actually be grounded in reality. I don't know the stats, but I'm pretty sure that players in more advanced positions (which is where he was played) are bound to lose the ball more. It happens to Ben Arfa as well. He tries to create yet sometimes runs into blind alleys, holds onto the ball too long or tries an adventurous pass that gets intercepted. Yet I don't see you complaining about him? In short, your opinion on our players makes you sound like a mackem. Maybe you do have spent too much time on there.. Accusing me of being a fan of an arch rival because my opinion differs from the majority? Hmm, which messageboard have I seen that on, I'll give you a hint, its mostly red. Irony. I haven't accused you of being a mackem have I, just said that you spend so much time on there (you are the poster TWD over there, are you not? If not, apologies) it seems to have affected your judgement. No I'm not, I have been on the forum a few times mostly for amusement purposes but I don't have an account on there. Anyway we are miles away from the original point, which was that a I don't think a midfield three of Sissoko, Tiote and Marveaux would be a good bet as first choice going into the season due to injury issues and form issues. If Cabaye is to leave (which I think he will) we need a replacement in a similar mould, and hopefully of the same calibre.

  4. Tiote was an abomination this season and around half of last season, I did say BEST PART, which is accurate. And did you see Sissoko after his first few games? constantly losing the ball due to poor first touch running into crowds of players, I know thats partly due to Pardew seemingly using him as some sort of battering ram but come on.
  5. Marveaux who's always injured + Tiote who's always injured plus looked inept for the best part of 2 years? Sissoko who can barely control a football? Losing Cabaye would be a disaster IMO unless an adequate replacement is brought in.
  6. Have no major issues with Wonga myself if you don't want to pay the interest don't use the company in the first place, I've used them many times when I've been short, the interest is ridiculous but that's what you very clearly sign up for. This will be bullshit in my opinion, he probably hasn't said a thing.
  7. 2/3 decent seasons out of him and hopefully seeing him recapture his Sunderland form would do for me if the alleged 5-6 million price is true. Seems highly unlikely though, isn't young, isn't cheap isn't french, won't happen. I'm of the persuasion that no matter who we bring in Pardew will still find a way of fucking it up anyway. Not a shred of optimism for the season ahead, for the first time ever.
  8. We should be looking to keep hold of players like Cisse at all costs, great striker and just another victim of the Pardew style of play, he gets little to no service in almost every game, most of his goals this season have been moments of magic and or luck and he isn't the sort of player who can consistently carve chances for himself, give him service and he will score. Cisse should still spearhead our attack next season provided we can keep Ben Arfa fit and playing and bring in a natural wide forward to support him whilst having Cabaye further up the pitch to slip those balls through that he was last season. A more positive attacking approach to games will see Cisse look closer to what he did in his first 14 games at the club.
  9. Was fed one decent looking cross yesterday and almost scored from it, I think its obvious that he isn't quite the striker we thought he would be when he exploded onto the scene but he would easily have 20 goals this season if the service was better, or indeed existant.
  10. I just feel another season wasted on this idiot is another season we don't see the best of our current crop of players, we have a very talented bunch in our first team and its criminal that we will probably never see them performing how they should. I really hope somehow I'm wrong.
  11. Probably already been asked a million times but what station and time is the phone in going to be on friday?
  12. Wow, dodged a bullet there then.
  13. Then do it all over again if Wigan beat Arsenal That doesn't matter now anyway though, a win = survival regardless.
  14. I shudder to think of how smashed I'm going to still be on Monday morning at work if we win this.
  15. Think if we can win this we'll go on and get at least a point from Arsenal aswell, reason being that Pardew might loosen the shackles a bit when we have nowt to play for. Lose or draw this though and Arsenal will tank us and we'll probably go down. JUST WIN IT MAN.
  16. Him coming back for these last 3 games may just be enough to save us from relegation, I'm positive that we would have conceded against WHU without him.
  17. Using Gosling over Bigi and and Anita is just another fuck up to add to the Pardew collection.
  18. Fuck it! I'm gonna go mental and downgrade to a 9.
  19. We beat QPR and even if Wigan draw with Arsenal we're safe. Massive pressure, hope the players can handle it.
