Can't even blame the amount of games and added injury time because he hasn't played that much. Seriously though wtf. Can't have been a worse injury crisis across a season in PL history?

Sven Botman: targeting a return before Christmas (Howe)
Scotty66 replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
What an absolute shit show. Got millions and we can't buy anyone. Got Shithot players and they're always injured. -
My thoughts exactly. "Fair" means little old Luton could, if they were brought by a powerhouse, able to compete in spending with Man City. However it would take them about 10 years at least to even get the slightest bit close. It's an absolute closed shop and how dare any other team even think about competing.

Hall looks absolute class

For the "famous Anfield atmosphere" Liverpools song book is absolutely shite. When the reds go marching in and that god awful liiiiiiivvveeeerrrrrpoooolllll

What the fuck is this

Nice little teaser at the bottom of that article. Name the 4 players who's surname begins with the letter N that have played in the PL for Newcastle. Nolan N'Zogbia?? ? ?

Surely if you don't want to trigger a clause and sign a player that you don't really want for a lot of money the absolute last thing you do is keep naming him on the bench week after week in case you have no option but to bring him on due to injuries? "We didn't really want to spend the 30 million but unfortunately we just have" Think this is bullshit from Pizza Rob tbh.

I think some bigwigs at the PL and top 6 clubs will be getting very uncomfortable with all this noise. There's some emails/letters/texts out there that could be very damaging for themselves and who they work for. If they had any sense they would lighten the rules so it swiftly goes away and nothing gets investigated but they are truly to greedy and that greed will get the better of them. Evidence was very close to coming out during our takeover. And with hindsight it's plain to see who and why they were making it drag on for so long. It got passed through but they've constantly been putting up barriers ever since. I'm sure it will all come crashing down one way or another.

Sure I said to myself "fucking class Tino" about 5 or 6 times within the first 10 minutes of him coming on today.

Rooney signed for us instead of Man Utd

But surely the bar has now been set. If we did it and got fined 10 points we could just appeal and use this example and get it reduced to six which is what Everton have done using the 10 points deduction from the EFL rules. There's absolutely no chance a club can do the same as Everton and get a bigger points deduction and not win an appeal is there?

Definitely seems to have be an issue between Eddie and the flower pot Dan. If so then this situation will work out even better for us.

The nerve of him just walking into the PL and start telling other clubs what they should and shouldn't be doing
-
What the fuck is that graphic. Players in numeric order and not position but starting on 62? No captain icon? Jesus Christ my eyes

Clubs up and down the country now redrawing contracts for their director of football to include clauses such as "if Newcastle approach you a £30m fee or 5 years gardening leave will apply"

It's not so much they scouted where nobody is looking they had a data model that could find players who had value. For example players who's buy price was much lower than it should be or who's talent is much better than the level or league they were playing in. Couple that with the data that suggests they would fit in well in the PL and you're onto a winner. This is absolutely the future of football scouting and we need to get up to speed. Brighton owner was years ahead of everyone and it's how his made so much money and became so successful. Same applies to Brentford.

Alright Henry chill out mate, he ok'd the signing of a lad with a gambling problem and a young left back who can't get in the team. Meticulous my arse.
-
We've really got to negotiate hard with this one. We'll look weak as piss if we let him join them straight away and for a small amount.

I think from a pure footballing squad sense Eddie is far more valuable to us long term than Ashworth tbh. He took Bournemouth up through the leagues with zero cash. For a club Ashworth can excell at building the structure, something that he's already done here, for a club with limited budget he will keep it on a sound footing (Brighton) but thankfully with our owners we can invest whenever and whatever within our restrictions. Something we don't need years of planning from a DOF to be able to do. The crucial thing for us was getting our scouting and youth set up strong and Ashworth seems to have done some great work in that regard with the staff positions that we have acquired. Long term though Howe will keep us competitive on the pitch with or without Ashworth being here.

Just had a look and lots of reports saying he resigned. If we did have to pay compensation then it must have been a clause in his contract with Brighton. Hopefully he has the same here.
-
Every injury we suffer seems like it's 2 months + Just absurd. The worst season for injuries for any club I can remember.
-
What happens if he resigns? Gardening leave but no compo? Think he resigned at Brighton in order to get the job here so we can't fuck around to much.

I'm sure there were strong rumours about us wanting Campos before we hired Ashworth too.
