  1. Swansea certainly aren't safe yet, and we still have them to play at home. They have an easy game at home to Villa on Saturday but a very tough run in. Games against Chelsea,Liverpool,Leicester,West Ham and Man City
  2. Ordered to appear before MP's http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-35811254
  3. This. Sunderland draw no bet is 2.62 which is not far off twice the amount of your stake. Definitely something to soften the blow.
  4. Does anyone think he may stay with us if we go down? I know it's absurd to imagine Rafa Benitez as a manager in the Championship but he said himself he see's us as a long term project. I can't see him wanting to manage abroad again as he's been there and done it,plus he turned down offers from abroad before joining us. I have a slight feeling he would be prepared to stay,as he just doesn't seem the sort of man who could walk away knowing that we would be desperate for stability. Knowing our luck,it will be Ashley who activates the clause, just so he can pay some shit manager 6k a year.
  5. Are his post match comments/video anywhere? Can't find anything on Sky website
  6. We would have definitely got a win against Bournemouth if Rafa had been here.
  7. Seems he has spent most of his time training the defence,no way can you expect to re-train defence AND attack in just 3 days. Definitely the right thing to do as we came so close to getting a point out of that. Think we will improve week after week and definitely believe he will keep us up.
  8. 3 days he's had to work with us and we look so much better. Would have been 4 or 5 under McClaren. Lots of work still to do with the attackers though, especially movement off the ball.
  9. Best team line up I've seen for a long while. Lots of creativity to feed the Mit.
  10. "11 Jack Colbacks. They would love that" :scared: :scared:
  11. He did absolute fine at Madrid. Major mistakes that were made was fielding an ineligible player in the cup, which wasn't his fault (but seemed to take the blame),and of course losing at home,0-4 to Barca. From what I have read he was told by Perez to play a team full of the superstars, and therefore couldn't play his own team which i suspect would have been more defensive. The simple fact the Madrid hired him, goes to show just how fucking good he is.
  12. Hopefully he gets to the final and loses, will buy him some more time and give us some more laughs for next season.
  13. Doesn't Rafa like a hold up man though,Mitro is excellent at that
  14. Love the fact is has spotted "a couple of things" that need changing straight away, then goes on to say we'll do more changes with time. Obviously we know how bad we are at just about everything but it sounds as though he has spotted some things that will make a huge difference.
  15. Will the 2pm press conference be shown live anywhere? Sky Sports News usually show them in full don't they?
  16. Something we have lacked for so,so long.
  17. What kind of football does he tend to play? I know he's not an attacking manager as such but from memory he likes to pass the ball around and not hoof it iirc. Is it quick tempo? does he like to use wingers to cross balls in?

    Steve McClaren

I've watched nearly every game and the only thing that impressed me was how our full backs went wide and looked for the ball from goal kicks in one of our first friendlies. That was honestly it. I don't hate him but he's not a top manager like a lot of the media think.
  19. What was our situation like this time last season? Think we're more in the shit now than we were last year and we needed the final day to stay up then However,I have complete faith in the big man.
  20. "Daily Express assistant sports editor and Newcastle season ticket holder ANDY LIDDELL" Definitely one of us,not a single win in his surname.
  21. Possible 3 year deal,so Rafa will walk 10 games away from us winning the Premier League? what a cunt.
  22. Wonder if he'll play Colback
  23. That's basically saying that it's done and dusted,to me. That "yet" is like a massive

    Steve McClaren

Yeah Penn is genuinely ITK. His ITK reputation is now very much on the line then He's got a 100% record. He was first to break the news that Pardew had left. I'm tempted to have a huge bet. make sure they don't have some shit rules like has to be in charge for 15 or more games for the market to win. Most of the markets require it to be at least 10 games iirc.
