An easy thing to say when you get to spend 100 million every summer.. It's nearly to the point where I'd rather have Liverpool win instead of Chelsea.

The players deserve some of the blame but if nobody else at the club gives a fuck why should they? They were doing fine before when we shot up the table and showed we could mix it up with the 'top' clubs. Then we showed no ambition to improve in January and were told that 8th fucking place was good enough. We sold our best player and, maybe even more importantly, the one leader in the squad. Most players are dumb but they're smart enough to know that the season is over. If the owner only cares about money, should the players care about anything more than playing out the season and picking up their wages? They should play for the fans, yet it's the players who (allegedly) know the fans and the area the most that have been some of our weakest. The owner doesn't care, the manager doesn't care and the players don't care. The perfect hattrick of indifference and mediocrity. Beautiful. Now that I'm closer I had wanted to finally make my first trip over to see Newcastle this season, but what's the point? I'll just save my money as long as Ashley saves his. What a joke.

Can't believe we were ahead of the '5th' season pace not too long ago, things were looking good. It's disgusting what has happened since, tells you all you need to know about our ambitions as a club.

2nd half was a joke. First half we weren't that bad, despite the scoreline. It would have been nice to score a goal for the sake of morale, so we could at least take something into the next game. Instead we approached the 2nd half like it was a preseason friendly. Defeatist behavior from our manager, all this does is put more pressure on us for the next time out. We've got plenty on injuries/suspensions/excuses for sure, but that's all the more reason to stop being cautious and try some things out.

Michael Martin just picks players out he doesn't like and then refuses to accept they might ever be decent. He's been forced into admitting when Gouffran's had a good game, but he'll never say that it's because he's a good player. Yup he's pretty '' to listen to. He's already written off DeJong too. It's a shame he's always on when the journalists are otherwise it would be an enjoyable listen.

They were saying on the True Faith podcast that the reason we don't have category 1 status is only because of the lack of coaches. A pretty pathetic reason. Obviously this is reserves but it just shows what a mess we are. Going the extra bit for something that could payoff big in the future just isn't worth it to Ashley. I really hope it means that he's looking to sell.

I like Veretout. Seen him play a few times and he was always impressive. He's still very young too. Nantes have been doing well for a promoted side and he's a big reason. Pretty sure we've already been linked with Bakambu a few times.

The biggest red flag is that we can't get any of these guys loaned out and when we do it's to a lower division. Vuckic was at Cardiff two seasons ago and now he's at Rotherham.. Bigi won the Championship's Apprentice of the Year Award and now can't find anyone to take him. Something isn't working here..

Well now we've learned that we had a terrible Reserve team manager to go with our terrible first team manger and our terrible director of football. It's not that surprising that's he's stalled along with a few others.. Developing young players (so he can sell them later) should be in Ashley's best interest, it's the cheapest way to be competitive if they are developed right.

All this careful planning the league has done over the last 10 years, and now they're just handing out franchises like it's nothing. I don't have a problem with Beckham owning one, but the timing and location are awful.

Agree, it's definitely worth a look especially with Remy out and no other real attacking threat.

Sadly all he needs to do to have a positive impact here is be better than Shola and Cisse. That shouldn't be too hard.. Let him get match fit and then we can judge if he's worth the buying price.

One of the worst parts of a soul-destroying loss like that is now I can't be bothered with any football at all. Looking forward to work on Monday.
