Haven't been able to hear them much this year but I've been really impressed with NBC's commentary team. They seemed pretty in the know about our current situation and why the fans might be frustrated. It's refreshing to hear some decent announcers for a change.

Can we not compete with Everton? They have actual money problems and still manage to have a go. Even Spurs don't spend that much compared to what they sell, they just reinvest the money. Both clubs are similar in size to ours but both of them have the ambition to do more. At least they could sell us some false hope. If we do end up 7th or 8th then so be it, but at least try.

Are they over confident though? You would (as a mackem fan) hope they wouldn't be. They've beat us the last two times. They have got to a cup final and are starting to put in some decent league performances to get out of the relegation zone.. We've just lost our best player and are missing some other key people. I'd think they would be confident going into this, though I don't know any Sunderland fans to say for sure. Usually it doesn't take much for them to get over confident about their chances.

Yup, would love it if he came here. Unfortunately Spurs will ask for too much and we will offer too little. It's really frustrating seeing Spurs letting go of some quality players that just need more playing time or a change of scenery. We should be in there to take advantage of it but we're not..

Lyon's president said that this guy was worth "over 30 million" not too long ago.. While that is completely unrealistic they will still probably want more than what we offer.. It would be brilliant if it somehow happened though, he is an exciting player.

Howard's been pretty sketchy for Everton the past few seasons, he was a good keeper before.
