Nice flick in around the box for Bruno and the Arsenal players stood off him as they knew he could cause them trouble in behind.

If we have to shift a “purple” for PSR reasons Gordon has to be the first we sacrifice. Whilst there is a good player in there, I am not sure if he has potential to be an elite player. Barnes already shown he has better ball striking and decision making than Gordon.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

It would be amazing even if we got EL but it would slightly sour it as I get the feeling some big clubs will start to come sniffing and turn the head of a few of our players (even if we don’t end up selling them). Further, 6 other teams with CL will now have an advantage over us in FFP. For the sake of 3 points it will make the whole of next season a lot more difficult to compete. -
Best piece of quality on the pitch tonight was the steward who took out the streaker at the end. Rare to see such commitment in the tackle these days and locked in from 20 yards out.

Let’s say we qualify. Who do you think will miss out? -
Kinda hope Man U win this as don’t want Amorim to be sacked. We need them to be average next season as well
-
We are Newcastle - no other team ever does us any favours. If we want champions league we will have to take it ourselves.

Why we not in for De Bruyne, still think he’s an upgrade on Willock and Longstaff for a season.
-
Would rather have Gordon and Barnes than Trossard and Martenelli. Both are shite
-
Lol could see Trippier cringing
-
Wharton looks a player. Would love him at Newcastle but we are already stacked in that position
-
How has this guy done this season? He seemed to be our most hyped youth player and was bought for relatively big money.

So does that mean 1-5: CL 6-7: Europa (subject to Palace not winning the FA Cup) 8: Conference -
The moment he called over Lascelles to help lift the trophy is the moment I’ll always remember of Bruno. What a legend.

Mainoo comes to mind.

Kraft was outstanding tonight

Who would have thought a scouting network of Andy Howe wouldn’t be enough -
Yes the first 11-12 players are European worthy. No doubt but then there is a big drop in quality. You seem to be banking on these twelve players staying fit all season but it’s very likely we will suffer some big injuries like most teams over the course of 38 game season. Especially the way injuries are sky rocketing in top flight football. We have talent but the top 8 teams are packed with the best talent in the world. It’s insane because we all know 50+ players atleast that would improve this squad. I think EH has way over complicated it if that’s his approach and will likely come back to bite him.
-
They can impose all the criteria they want. The fact is the squad isn’t good enough to compete for the top 6 unless 2/3 top 6 teams drop off this year. To think there are only 4/5 players in the world who can improve the squad is batshit insane.

I seen that as well. Is that when the physio came on? He gestured to the physio that he got elbowed in the throat.

Did Keith Downie ever reveal the name of that RW we were after that he claimed he'd been told about?

He looks like he has zero football IQ and little end product. I think this could have been great business for us.
