  1. No way will we put £6m on the table for Douglas if he's out of contract in the summer. Try half that now.
  2. We should get Tiote hanging round outside the area on corners, ping it out to him, he smashes it home on the volley first time. Every time. Simples.
  3. Awful bench, hope the starting 11 can get the job done by 60 minutes.

Think he should be taken out of the firing line for a little while if possible, try and protect the lad. Think most would say he probably shouldn't be getting as much game time as he has been in the league.
  6. It was your point, you called Carver a turd, I told you he gets one session a week to work on attacking. How much can you do with one session a week? Hardly a turd.
  7. Carver gets one session a week to work with the players on attacking.

    Pardew Out?

    Absolutely no chance.

Hughton wouldn't toe the party line, Pardew will, and shall continue to do so. You don't give a manager an 8 year contract then sack him a few weeks later because of a few bad results.

He won't be sacked unless a significant amount of people stop going to games IMO. The cost of sacking him from his 8 year deal alone would be off putting enough. We won't go down therefore he will stay.

Ask yourselves the question; do you honestly believe if we hadn't played Maritimo on Thursday night, would the performance be any better? I'm not saying sack him, I just think he needs to go straight back to the drawing board and look at how he conducts training sessions.

I just think it's a very defeatist attitude to take. If I were a Southampton player I'd be really looking forward to getting stuck into our tired opposition today. It gives the opposition that little boost, we've already lost the mental battle.
  13. I'm no gambling expert, far from it, but the odds seem pretty good for an away win today.

In the Championship, we did have the huge benefit of being by far and away the best team in the division though. Knowing the squad had Europe this season and not making the necessary moves in the transfer market was a huge mistake. There are ways to balance the League and Europe, it just requires hard work and commitment. It's easy to hide behind these stats and it's probably the right move, rather than coming out and saying we simply haven't been good enough. Hopefully, on the training ground and the dressing room he isn't taking these stats seriously and each player is being given the correct information and advice to improve.
  15. Predicting a tight 2-1 win. They can't keep a clean sheet but have scored in all but two games this season. Will be nervy but I think we'll do just enough.

In defence of Nile, it was two for Tuesdays.

Good points in that Sunday Sun article, granted, but are the demands of the Europa League really that big of a surprise?

    Other clubs' transfers

How could you forget Paulo Ferreira? Holy shit, he's still there.
  19. Erm ... why did this guy play against Heaton?
  20. Watching the highlights of the Wigan game, think Pardew could take a few notes from the way they attack. Technically worse players than ours, yet they look much more dangerous at times with the way they commit defenders by actually making off the ball runs and not being so static.

Can't see him getting onto the pitch unless there's injuries or we take a comfortable lead.
  22. Redknapp confirmed as QPR manager. 2 and a half year contract.
  23. Love that this is the first anyone has seen of his Movember effort and it's the 20th.
  24. It's a huge pricetag to carry around everytime he steps onto a pitch. Not many would do well under the pressure.
