Saka is comfortably the best winger in the Prem.

First start, would you believe?

Whatever happened to Happy Face who used to go through and explain NUFC's accounts?

Think I’ll be switching it off at full time, the thought of hearing more from Gerrard doesn’t Ba thinking about.
-
Why is Slippy G saying it’s time for Kane to move on in the summer? Not really relevant.

100% a pen, lofted high ball to the back post which he saw all the way. His arm had no reason to be stuck out that way.

Bringing Miggy off the bench, you’re always going to get that industrious running, but now we’re in a place where he’ll be chomping at the bit to get back in and start Friday night. He won’t be certain of the start, so he scored his goal and impressed and put himself forefront of Eddies mind. Thought his sub appearance was typical of the squads mindset, take the rest but be ready to go if called upon. Lascelles did it last week even knowing he wouldn’t start yesterday. The squads in a really good spot mentally and have been for a long while now, FA Cup blip aside.

Wolves weren’t switched on to cutting the passing lanes when Schär carried it forward, I don’t think many teams defend it well. We can skip the midfield without hoofing it, both Fab and Botman can do it well, I’d still like to see Botman carrying it forward just that little bit more and with a little more regularity.

I was pretty impressed with the change, hold on to the ball, control the defender who doesn’t want to commit to a tackle, delay delay… ball into Isak who takes into his stride. Worked really well in the first half. Little touches that give others the time to exploit space.

Thought it was the result of individual coaching, keep the ball closer to your body to minimise the chance of losing it. He usually takes slightly heavier touches and a longer stride, so his running style did look awkward.

He has that quality that the top drawer players have, where the game seems to slow around them and he finds his time. He’s so chill. Very high ceiling, I don’t think we are seeing half of what he can do just yet.
-
Dodgy moment aside, I thought he was fine today.

This game is proof that it takes more than lubricant on your arms to worry Big Dan Burn.
-
Going to go ahead and say it, but Traore will have little to no impact on todays result.

Bit of casual sexual assault from the Sunderland player.

Zero thought given from the BBC to its blind viewership who were unable to view their regular Saturday night programming. Shameful.

Me and @Stiflerhad a cracking view for his goal against Bolton. Felt like the whole stand was screaming at him to pass it but I’ve never felt calmer knowing what was coming.
-
He’s one of a line of players now that benefit from being well coached and playing in a system that doesn’t promote cowardice.
-
Was widely reported in October that he signed a 2 year extension to put him in line with the top earners at the club, but was never confirmed by the club or Wilson.

Ah, my bad mate. Yeah, I agree with that.

It's a tough one. Lascelles does well to ensure that Bernardo either has to take the shot, or try to lay off Foden who was free. Looked like he was caught in two minds, if he commits earlier he saves it, but he's caught a little flat footed. Thought he expected Bernardo to make a pass rather than take a shot.

It’s either the 4-0 win over Swansea where Huth was on a booking (can’t remember if Leicester had won the title at that point tbh but it was 81st minute and they were 3 up) or Huth again in a 2-1 win over Chelsea. Pretty sure it’s the Chelsea game. Huth was booked on 50 mins and committed another foul on 58.

£5 well spent.

‘Preposterous’ is 100% a phrase I’d use if I’d been caught bang to rights.
