Zero thought given from the BBC to its blind viewership who were unable to view their regular Saturday night programming. Shameful.

Me and @Stiflerhad a cracking view for his goal against Bolton. Felt like the whole stand was screaming at him to pass it but I’ve never felt calmer knowing what was coming.
-
He’s one of a line of players now that benefit from being well coached and playing in a system that doesn’t promote cowardice.
-
Was widely reported in October that he signed a 2 year extension to put him in line with the top earners at the club, but was never confirmed by the club or Wilson.
-
Ah, my bad mate. Yeah, I agree with that.

It's a tough one. Lascelles does well to ensure that Bernardo either has to take the shot, or try to lay off Foden who was free. Looked like he was caught in two minds, if he commits earlier he saves it, but he's caught a little flat footed. Thought he expected Bernardo to make a pass rather than take a shot.

It’s either the 4-0 win over Swansea where Huth was on a booking (can’t remember if Leicester had won the title at that point tbh but it was 81st minute and they were 3 up) or Huth again in a 2-1 win over Chelsea. Pretty sure it’s the Chelsea game. Huth was booked on 50 mins and committed another foul on 58.

£5 well spent.

‘Preposterous’ is 100% a phrase I’d use if I’d been caught bang to rights.

Potter and Chelsea arguing over who rings Brighton for their manager.

It felt like a repeat of the Liverpool game, but with less bite and 11 players on the pitch. We equip ourselves well but seem prone now to a mini collapse. All the signs are there that given the time, Howe has us set up well and with added quality up front and in midfield, we’re laughing.

I think if you’re playing alongside him, you have to get onto his wave length quickly as he’s a very impulsive player. You could see that when he’s expecting a run and plays the pass to no one. He must be quite difficult to play alongside in terms of where you position yourself or what run you make, as he often doesn’t fit into a pattern of play. That makes him very dangerous when he’s on it and it all clicks. I like him, I want to see him with Targett, I want to see him given a run on the right, I want to see him given the kind of role Isak played where he can float and sniff out the danger. I see no reason now why we can’t have him, Gordon, Isak and Miggy all interchanging up front.

I do think if Darlow or Gillespie concede that second goal, they get a ton of stick thrown their way. Like I’ve said though, he came in and he’s done well, maybe a bit rusty which is understandable. I’m happy for him if he sticks around but I do think he should be number 1 somewhere.
-
Haven’t really seen much criticism and I was posting while watching in the second half. I posted about Karius maybe doing better for the second goal but nowt over the top like.
-
I wonder if he has mentally checked out from the World Cup. Pure guesswork, but being selected for the WC has been the peak of his career and to not get as many minutes as he may have hoped and for the tournament to end early, maybe he’s deflated? Just trying to understand as we know what he’s capable of but we’re not seeing it since the restart.
-
Like I said in the match thread, I don’t want to be harsh on him at all but thought he should do better for the second goal. Yeah it takes a deflection but he had positioned himself at his near post and if you get a hand to it, you should make the save. He’s rusty and understandably so, he’s had/got his demons. First goal you could argue he could have positioned himself 5 yards further out to cover his line as well as give an opportunity to catch but it was just a really well worked free kick. That’s canny nit picky of me. Hope this jump starts things for him, he’s a good keeper and he hasn’t deserved how his career has been since 2018.

Difficult to type this without sounding like a wanker, but there's levels to this and we're not quite there yet, but we will be. We're once again gaining control of a game but proving to be absolutely impotent. It is what it is, I think the players have given everything, no complaints on that front whatsoever. Well done to Eddie and the team for getting us this far, for giving us a taste of whats to come. And big kudos to the fans who have been terrific and will get everything we deserve in time.

I'm not sure why we're not even thinking of switching Maxi and Miggy during games. I think Maxi would benefit hugely from Trippier.
-
We need Maxi off that flank, I don't think we're going to get any joy at all down there now AWB is on.
-
Wilson is playing him on, unfortunately.
-
Longstaff.
-
4-2-3-1, good positive change from Howe.
-
It's skewing wide, Botman's touch changes the balls path but Karius was going near post anyway. Horrible, horrible goal to concede.
-
It hasn't been a lack of effort once since Howe came in. It's a quality issue, there's only so far that working hard will get you. First goal is well worked, unlucky that Wilson plays him just on but he has to stick a leg out for it, second goal was soft and now we have to cope with players losing their heads in a difficult position. I think the move for me would be Longstaff off, Isak on, 4-2-3-1 and allow him the freedom to overload the flanks and get in beyond Wilson.
