You would expect that once M'Vila becomes a free agent that a lot of teams would become interested in him. He will have better options that Sun'lun for sure. I think they might already have an agreement for him to join them in January... hence why they were reluctant to stump up £7m yesterday. Rubin don't want him, but knew that Sunlun wanted him early, hence slapping that fee on him. Gabbiadini (on TS) reckoned Sunlun were hoping to/would meet in the middle somewhere. But looks like M'vila made the effort to get to the UK for a move, and Sunlun basically blanked him yesterday once it became clear Rubin wouldn't budge on the (early) fee.

Hehe, despite them trying to keep fans away from reporters now, there was almost a faux par last night about 10.30 ish. Forget which club they were at, but reporter was outside and said there was a wedding party on at the club ground. Then in background you could see a couple of people, then a guy staggers up with his missus, and as the reporter tried to carry on, the bloke said "hello... don't worry, I haven't got a dild....." and was quickly shoved off camera by the reporter!

this occurred to me last night thinking how 'happy' i was with the fee for sissoko - that if we get promoted and want to push on when we get back up we're either going to have to sign gems for good money, develop a load of bairns to come through pretty quick, or end up spending similar sums ourselves to what everton were looking to splash and that spurs have splashed that'll be a massive test under ashley like, massive there's always the possibility that rafa will build a team that's more than the sum of its parts i guess but on coming back up at the very minimum you'd expect we'll need to splash slimani type cash on a proven striker But Ashley has said he's only ever wanted the club to spend what it earns/brings in, rather than him having to stump up his own money. Surely if we get promoted, we'll get prize money and Premiership money, and we may also have £30m already from Sissoko's transfer (if its up front, and doesn't get spent in January). We have spent a fair amount (by our recent standards) over the last 3 windows - and yes, we have balanced the books by selling/moving players, but thats how he seemingly wants it to work... so I don't get the worry that Ashley will suddenly not let Rafa/Charnley use any funds we gets from (big) players sales and/or Sky TV money??!!

For what its worth though, I think he's publicly marked his card now, and any future clubs may be dubious about signing him. If he flops at Spurs this season, I doubt they'll get rid easily, unless they take a huge hit on the fee.

With all the money that PL clubs were supposedly getting this summer, I can't believe they balked at paying £7m for M'Vila now, and strengthen their threadbare squad. And if his instagram post was owt go by, he may be trying to get out of the agreement to join them in January, now!
-
If it is on the installments, I hope its on Wonga's interest terms!
-
Is that not just the 'official' line? Sure nearly all of our fees this summer have been classed as 'undisclosed'. As far as the fee goes, it was widely reported that Everton had met the £30m asking price, which 'Spuds then matched... pretty sure the fee is (at least) £30m. Whether staged, or all up front will be the unknown.

Haha... Sissoko... what an absolute ****. And some think we should have kept him??!!
-
I'd just rather we kept our best players, tbh. If Mike Ashley pocketing £30m gets you hard, fair play. His overall performance and contribution last season was s****, he vehemently doesn't want to be here, and he's taken a massive strop over not being able to leave which would instantly transfer to the dressing room and onto the pitch. I can't see why anyone would be unhappy about this transfer other than to be pointlessly contrary. As fans we get nothing out of this, man. If he'd stayed we'd be a better side. It's not tough to figure out. I'm not gutted. But there's nothing to celebrate here, at all. That's based on whether Sissoko would want to play and put the effort in at this level... and based upon performances last season in the top flight, and for most of his 3 years here, he didn't put the effort in often enough. He has thought he was better than us, and deserved better for a while now. So arguably, its a big shout to suggest we'd be better if he stayed.

Which we are and have been since Ashley came in. Absolutely, but they've always tried to cover it up. This time it might even be Rafa's idea. Would like to hear off Rafa why he has changed his mind about not letting the c*** go if it was too late in the transfer window when he stressed it wouldn't happen. Pleased he has gone but money should have been used to bring in a quality winger and not a loan deal from Chelsea who was pushed pretty quickly from Everton and Bournemouth. They were playing a game man. They were hardly going to encourage late offers. Nor were they going to knock back late bids of 30m. Just sick of years of s*** coming out of the club and I thought that had changed under Rafa - obviously not. I must have missed this one. I really can't see what they have done wrong this time? They have the best squad in the league and we are 40m in the black. Agreed. Don't know what Rafa has said exactly, but can understand he wasn't saying we want rid. He played it as if sissoko was still an important player, which has helped with the end fee. And for me, we have gotten £30m for a player who was fairly ineffective and disinterested last season, and who hadn't played at all this season, so not like we were missing him. Unlike when we sold Carroll who was a first team regular and we really should have replaced / not sold as late. I just cant see how the club and/or Rafa are wrong for doing this deal, even if we don't spend any of the Sissoko money till at least January. I'm happy enough with our transfer dealings this summer, and feel that a lot of deadwood/playesr who didn't want to be here are gone, and we have problem areas having been addressed - obviously some still need to see how good they are, but under Rafa I'm confident they will be ok. Sissoko had his chance under Rafa last season, and even got the armband, yet his performances only improved marginally.

It'll take some to beat Aaron Lennons Everton signing pics.. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/02/05/254C5A4E00000578-0-image-a-3_1423130758496.jpg http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/02/05/254C592C00000578-0-image-a-4_1423130761668.jpg

Almost feel sorry for them. Can we send them a Colback, erm, back??
-
Evertons record fee? Le Tissier saying based on last seasons form, its a high fee. No Sh*t sherlock!!
-
SSN Everton have agreed terms with us and Sissoko.. on way for medical... £30m
-
Anderson on Total Sport was saying he doesn't see how Sissoko could play for us again after this drawn out saga. Don't necessarily agree, but also, don't think we should drop the price a penny just to be rid. £30m or he stays... again, especially for Spurs & Levy.
-
Didn't even know he was still here... thought he'd been released ages ago!
-
They trying to sort personal terms with Jason Deneyer from Man City (Belgian defender), on loan. Be funny as, if he knocks them back as well.
-
Still got Jim White with his red face and yellow tie to come... 8-11pm
-
SSN saying West Brom, Palace & Mackems and in talks to sign James McCarthy
-
Total Sport were saying he's brought 7 in so far... dont know who they all are, and not sure if that includes N'Dong today
-
SSN: Naismith deal is off... couldn't agree personal terms. They have a medical booked for 9pm for an unnamed player, possibly Jason Denayer from Man City (never heard of him?!)
-
Aye, and they'll get nowhere near £30m for him (if that is the fee).
-
Aye, 'the king' snubbed for Bournemouth. Thats gotta hurt his ego.
-
SSN still saying "Atsu set to become a Newcastle player". Think it was already said, but looks like this is our 10.30pm announcement if no one else is signed.

Installments are fine. We're probably using a W*nga contract template, so the interest is probably another £5m!!!
