AAAAGGGHHH... Thought I'd finally 'unseen' Uncal Mick... but there he is again!!
-
Oh, the irony http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/please-please-stay-rafa.1229439/

Steve Bruce being interviewed today apparently, and Sam should know by the end of the week, according to reports. So a two horse, or should that be 'donkey' race, then??? God help us, if the choice comes down to Fat Sam or Fat Steve.
-
I actually thought that Saturday might have been his first 'away' goal for us.... then realized he scored twice in away Pre-Season matches last season too.
-
Probably been said, and whilst these games don't mean much, its just nice to win one convincingly. Was it just the one we won last pre-season, and that was just 1-0 or something?

Certainly does need an industrial clean. Looking at it from the Shark Bar/Sandman. That corner makes it look more like a prison. It is filthy and could do with a clean and a lick of paint. Yesterday, the walkways between seats looked like they'd either been cleaned or had a coat of paint, and some of the seats were being jetwashed. Some of the exec boxes were being redecorated too. But aye, from the outside it still looks scruffy!

Been to St James' today for a trade seminar event, and took this from the Magpie Suite... Pitch looking great, ready for the new season!
-
It really is Mike Bassett brought to life, if this happens. Only consolation, is the disruption to the mackems.... hopefully.
-
Another sad incident for him, but headline is terrible... makes it sound like he's asked someone for a drink and whipped his owld fella out in the street, when in reality, its a wardrobe (dressing gown) malfunction as he's getting out of a taxi, that wouldn't of been seen if he didn't have paparazzi hounding him to death. That said, I'm not condoning going to the offy for booze in a taxi, in just a dressing gown. Maybe he was away for a fishing rod and a bucket of chicken. Again.

Wait and see when its officially announced. It was SSN Pete Graves who tweeted it was a 5yr Permanent deal over weekend.

Having W*nga on the shirt is always gonna be unfortunate, but even with the blue lettering, I think it would be better directly on the stripes. Absolutely no need to a white panel.. and Puma have proved right there that they can produce shirts without the white box easily enough.
-
Just done some Dennis Wise scouting and watched a vid of his assists/goals from the 14/15 season. Can take a corner, cross a ball and knows where the net is... at Champo level at least. Welcome to the Toon! Hehe
-
Are those sleeves supposed to distract the opposition's strikers? Nothing to do with us, looks like its just the new Puma Keeper Jersey template... http://www.just-keepers.com/5_brand_Puma/

Can only echo other comments.... going to palace seems a crazy idea. But the clause was there, and had hoped he might have bought into the 'rafalution'. Another way of looking at it... we've made £1m for a 6 month loan deal.
-
Gold lettering (and numbers) then, and no back panel. EDIT:
-
Scored 2 past Jamie Theakston last month. Still got it!! hehe
-
West Brom didn't need a patch with dark stripes, though they had red numbers. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/08/23/14/1440335869552_lc_galleryImage_West_Bromwich_Albion_s_En.JPG

West Brom don't have a patch for their names & numbers when their shirts have fully striped backs
-
however! do my eyes deceive me, or have they got rid of the shitey iron-on of the last few years? at least looks like a proper badge. I think its been like that the last few year. The crest itself is embroidered, but its onto a patch which is then ironed on.... unlike the crest being embroidered into the shirt like the Adidas ones used to be.
-
I know its probably to do with shirt size, but the puma and crest look a lot closer together, and the crest looks as wide at the stripe than on the leaked image... http://www.voetbalshirtjes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Newcastle-United-thuisshirt-2017-768x1097.jpg
-
Just shows, that whatever the sponsor/logo, you dont 'need' a white band/panel/box for it on a dark striped shirt. Puma...take note!

Most of our targets are (probably) still involved at the Euros.

Home on Boxing day, but also on New Years Eve.
-
Thats the end of his records being bought illegally downloaded on Wearside.

Reminds me of when we played Burra in the league cup back in 1992... The DJ at Ayresome Park (Me Mark Page) made a point of stating loads of things about them being in the Premier League. Made it even more satisfying to beat them 3-1 on the night. They of course also went down that season as we came up.
