EH: "But we weren’t good enough to open them up. I am disappointed for the supporters and sorry for our performance, for a lack of goalmouth action and clinical attacking." Thats not just today though... its been most of the season to be honest, especially away from home. Just cannot break teams down, and often don't even have shots/tests keepers.

Thats why that road sign has that slogan in comma's.... they know exactly what 'FTM' means to them, and it aint 'Follow the Mackems'.

Mackematics, marra. #FTM

Yup, dodgy crest and the point on the star piercing the 'A' on Ale. DaveyGate spesh. They are what they are if your happy with a snide, but as stated that site is overpricing them. Available for around £15-17 delivered if you order yourself from the china sites.

Sorry if its been asked, but if Thiaw got a 2nd yellow, would he be suspended for the PL or just CL? If he'd miss the weekend, I'd be putting Schar on for him.

Lucky Green strip!

Just remembered, he'll be wearing the #9 shirt.

As you say, thats your opinion. My opinion is that Ramsdale wouldn't have been tear arseing towards Aubamayang near the touchline last week leaving an open net. But again, we'll never know.
-
Their mistakes don't/haven't always led to goals though. A keepers mistake often does, and costs games/points. Would Pope have done better on both goals tonight? Maybe, but we'll never know. But all keepers let weak goals in at times. Neither goal tonight was a 'mistake' or 'howler' by Ramsdale, unlike some of the recent ones Pope has let in.

Its not just Murphy, our overall ball retention, especially under pressure is fucking terrible. We either lump it away, or try and play out and give it away, either way it keeps coming back at us. No-one has the nouse or ability to just keep hold of it, take it away and calm it down. Its bee the same for recent seasons. Bruno even seems to have stopped drawing the late fouls to slow the game down.

So after the clamour for Ramsdale in for Pope, he's now shite and we don't want him in now either, is that right?
-
Canny aim that, like... from all the way up in L7 to get him on the heel too. Frank will be having a go at them again.

If Pope is out, and its due to 'injury', then it almost reinforces what the Geordie Journos said on their YT video. That with certain players, EH won't make the hard decision and drop them, regardless of form or errors, unless forced to (Injury/suspension). An injury to Pope would be rather convenient, given the noise around giving Ramsdale a chance, and publicly at least, makes it appear that EH hasn't just dropped him (Pope). If Ramsdale is in today, its up to him to take the chance, and make the position his own and for Pope to fight to get back in.

Watched the 'Geordie Journos' YT video last night, and they mentioned something I'd forgotten about. Pope's first clanger this season was actually in the pre-season match at Celtic, when he came rushing out of the box and the ball bounced over him, leaving the forward to go past him and tap into the empty net. I'd totally forgotten about that one.

Exactly. In that situation, he gets past Pope (as he did), open goal, albeit a tight angle. Pope stays in his box, he has to get past Thiaw, and potentially another defender arriving, before having a chance to take a shot and maybe beat Pope. 100%, nee way Pope should be where he is in that situation... Thiaw is alongside the forward, FFS, and making up/covering ground.
