FFS, LiVARpool 1-0 up already.

Sky basically saying there that ours and Man U results today prettyy much confirmed us in top 4, with these 2 (LiVARpool and Spuds) battling for 5th.

Feel a bit sorry for him. He clearly needs a run in the team to build his confidence, and get to know the play and the team properly. But he's been getting odd minutes off the bench, and starting today, he missed a couple, but then we went a goal down, and he was taken off. Probably feels a bit of a scapegoat, but the team didn't play well first half, and the goal came from a Bruno error. Need him to score or us to be winning/playing well when he starts, so he can get that longer pitch time, with less pressure (on him).

So Brentfords winner against Forest was given as onside after a lengthy review, yet Schars goal was fairly quickly ruled out for Burn being 'offside'???

Might have been said already, but much like Miggy Improved playing in front of Tripps, Murphy seems to have improved since getting starts in Miggy's absence, also playing on the right with Tripps. Cant be coincidence, and just another sign of how important a signing, a player and skipper he's been for us.

Still think its a shit 'offside' for Schars goal, I mean technically Burn is offside, but really, he goes for a header thats cleared by a defender, theres still time and touches between that and schars strike. If its offside, then surely a flag goes up as soon as the cleared header reaches one of our players, not after a few more touches and a goal.

Like I said, I need to see the whole move again, as the VAR just showed a still at the time (with burn in offsied position), and cant remember if the ball was in shot, but wasn't certain if the cross had cleared everyone or been headed.

Exactly. I think it was a cross from Tripps on the right, that cleared everyone in the box when Burn was slightly off... no flag. Ball eventually reaches players on the left hand side, end up with schar, who cuts in, hits it, lovely goal. Still no flag. VAR steps in, says Burn was offside in build up (when Tripps crossed it), but did he really interfere with play and the resulting goal?

I need to see the full clip of Schar's goal agian (those highlights above seems to cut in later), but Burn must have been 'offside' much earlier in the move, and well before it got to schar to hit it. The current offside rule man??!! And then going back this season you see things like the Rashford/Fernandes one against Man City allowed to stand.

Aye the match and highlights were good on Sky, but the Radio Newcastle commentary over the top of them just makes it.
