Aye, seems strange that someone seems to have leaked exactly what it'll take/cost to get him (if true, of course).
-
Loan with obligation for £30m. Should we be in for that, if true? Wonder if it was Pedro or Isak, and never both?

Won't be too disappointed if we don't sign anyone else today, especially given the investment overall since January, but do hope that if theres a chance/option to add someone else either DM or AM then we should try and do it. DM allows Bruno to push on more, and an AM would mean we (hopefully) get a bit less Murphy. Someone like Teilmens who can do a bit of both... perfect!

Aye, give Anderson a start and bring Willock on instead of Murphy as the late(r) sub.
-
Did the flag go up straight away as most offsides I've seen this season have all been very late? Also, none of the Liverpool players reacted or appealed for offside. So the lino must have had six million dollar man vision to call that decision and not delay or leave it fully to VAR.

I take the journos with a pinch of salt now TBH, including the likes of Caulkin. No one knew/saw Isak coming till it was virtually agreed. If something needs to/is happening today, it'll happen and journos will be the last to know.

Being greedy, but I just hope we can bring one or two more in today, loans would do, so we have better options off the bench than Wood and/or Murphy.

'Benefit of the Doubt' to the attacker... https://www.givemesport.com/88051021-marcus-rashford-offside-man-utd-striker-was-given-benefit-of-the-doubt-vs-liverpool Wonder why we didn't get it last night?

It shows the progress we've made in such a short time though too. A week or so ago, we were gutted to drop 2 points against Man City. Now were gutted to drop a point away at Liverpool in the last minute. Both matches we have lost heavily in recent years. We compete now, even at less than full strength. The future is very bright for us.

Said it in the match thread. If we still owe them money/installment for him, can we not just send him back to Burnley and write off what we owe them as the fee??
-
What I used to love about Shearer. He knew exactly when and how to close a match out when it was tight. He'd just take it into their corner and keep it there. Seems to be a lost art, and not many do it these days. We certainly don't.

Apart from that header against Tranmere, I fail to see what else Wood brings when he comes on. He doesn't hold it up very well, doesn't win many headers in the air, doesn't run with/carry the ball. He's jst a body on the pitch. Had his place last season, and played his part in helping keep us up (even if part of that was just to weaken Burnley), but if we can keep Isak and/or Wilson fit for the majority of remaing matches, I just dont see where he fits in anymore. Can we not just send him back to Burnely and write off the rest of what we owe them as the transfer fee?

Stream I saw the end of had Michael Owen and tim Sherwood in the studio, and both were very complimentary about us, Eddie Howe and how we are playing since the turn of the year. Both also saying we were hard done by and Liverpool got away with one with the added time which was over. They also commented on Howe's class not to mention it in his post match and use it as an excuse, and just move on to the next match.

WHAT.A.PISSER. Proud of the way we played, done by a dodgy linesman (the offside), and then a dodgy ref (nearly 3mins over the added time). Isak though... both finishes, composed finishes and great feet for the 2nd. Klopp though, whinging his tits off all match, then getting all smug at the winner. Kernt!

It looked like a pasty bald bloke to me, not, erm, 'Saudi' looking. So I dont think there was anything in it. Anyway, see Klopps been spouting again, this time about Scott Parkers' sacking and how its the fault of 'country owned clubs' and not clubs 'with structure' like Liverpool and Arsenal. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11160589/Klopp-uses-Scott-Parkers-sacking-aim-dig-country-owned-Man-City-Chelsea-Newcastle.html?login#readerCommentsCommand-message-field

I just hate that we seem to be bending to what Man U want, after the way they went on in January. Happy to F**k us over on deadline day, but here we are, agreeing to their proposal just to avoid keeping a stroppy player.
