We have recruited well over the last few years, but this sticking to PL players is slowing us massively. We didnt get where we are by just looking as proven PL players. Arguably our best buys have been from abroad...Bruno, Isak, Tonali. Weve had reasonable success domestically but not as good

Weve got a copy of Football Manger 2022. PIF havent authorised buying a copy of the 2025 one yet

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Not even close to the worst. Was fairly decent initially, but didnt age well then soured itnwith that ludicrous Man U loan. Better than Selz and Karelse, worse than Given. Probably on par with Harper -
Really?...he was the guy who was supposed to fix it, but ended up doing bugger all and quiting at the first sign of any diffiuclty, and managing to piss off our best player in the process. He is the Gullit of our recent non-coaching management team

Ideally we'd want a local kid who will sign a 15 year contract, capable of scoring 25-30 goals a year who will never whine about wanting a new contract. Ideally id like to live in a mansion and never have to work again, but life isnt ideal
-
Well thats TS....clubs havent bent over on our valuations. We have no reason to accept anything that doesnt match we want given the current contracts. Isaks on what about 15m a year? So if we want to be fair, id say pool should pay the value of the remaining...45m plus what we paid, so 45 + 63 and the fee wed have to pay for a replacemt(70m odd) so should be looking at around 177m to gamble on Sesko or whoever being able to adequately replace isak and not actually be worse off

Hes probably seen a few trophies, but certainly not old enough to remember when they were winning the league regularly....even im starting to struggle to remember that and ive got 20 years on him. He should be old enough to appreciate what a disaster theyve been for the last 5 or so, especially with players who dont perform who immediately flourish when they leave
-
Sense at last. We dont have to sell, no matter how much Ornstein and Romano bitch on. We have funds...just deep pockets and short arms We need another striker even if Isak stays, 2 if he goes unless were planning on playing one of our half dozen keepers up front Isak debacle is massively distracting from the issue that our defence is aging and getting slower by the day, with a utilty backup, one even older and the other becoming as fragile as Wilson.
-
We all know he will somehow get the govt to pay for it, then pay token rent for on a hundred year lease. Regenerating the "North" and all that bollocks
-
Isak was a risk...he hadnt exactly set the world alight before us. We took the chance where no one else did. Its not like we poached a player from under the nose of "the elite". He was a good/average forward from a middling spanish team. He has only grown to one of the best since being with us
-
No matter what is true...if were going to loan players out it should be to a better standard, and certainly not worse than where we get them from. I dont watch the Belgian League or the Spanish 2nd division, but id happliy wager that the Spanish Championship is better than Belgium
-
I seem to recall someone saying that Shola doesnt actually arrange the loans, just checks on the players when theyre out. Dont know if its true but whoever is picking these loan destinations needs a kick in the behind. Weve signed this kid and sent him to play at a lower standard than he was already at. Westerlo?? Might have well as sent him to Gateshead

Take the agents and media out of it, and anyone choosing Man U over us is obviously just after the money. Any player with a mind of their own would see how toxic they are to players who dont impact immediately. My opinion only but i reckon Zirkzee anh Hojland would be a million times better with us than Man U

Best upward fail since Faubert to Real Madrid

Yes they have 115 charges...but they werent relevant to when they actually were first taken over...(Hughes/pellegrini) where they had free reign to spend whatever they wanted
-
Im not familair with the picture...my point is, that at the time of their respective takeovers they didnt break rules, and rules werent actively and quickly applied to stop them from spending whatever they wanted. Theyve obviously both got away with some fairly dodgy shenanigans since they cemented themselves as part of the Sky 6
-
Not really...they just werent shackled by rules that are in place now. City seem to be sticking to them now that they can with their infrastructure, but originally they were throwing roundnstupid money on players who didnt even know which club they were signing for (Robinho). Chelsea have clearly bent every rule going selling their own stuff to themselves, but have got away with it for now at least as not a single pl team has complained
-
Well 35m wont even get Wissa when Brentford are looking for north of 50m
-
He absolutely does...since Shearer only Hatem has had as much love and support from our fan base and hes performed a total Michael Owen move. If i was running the place ( good thing im not) id remove him from the squad and let him rot till his contract expires. Romano nand the like forget that just because Liverpool come knocking doesnt mean we have to sell
