I dont think he would be a bad option....decentish strike rate. Bit of a loon...weve not had a certified crazy since Ketsbaia A bit of Howe magic could work wonders with him... Think he would thrive on support from our crowd Reminds a blt of Ballotellii 80m is too much

Guessing they were/are hoping for Chelsea or Man U to come in offering a pound more or so. After all...he only ever wanted Chelsea or Man U. Whichever flashed the most coin
-
Seriously something dodgy afoot on this one....never ever seen a club choose a lower offer. Was Sesko banging one of Leipzigs boards daughter.or something
-
Guessing Chelsea suddenly need another cb and its the only place he wants to go
-
Weve been taken for mugs again by a player and agent. RB Leipzig have made themselves look like total dickheads.

Rat lad could personally pay off the debt himself this second. Dont anyone buy into this Man U fan balls...hes in in them to make money for himself just as much if not more than the Glazers. Guarantee hes well in with PIF as well given that both INEOS and Sabic both happen to decide to close down plants literally next door to each other within a few weeks. We've been weighed, we've been measured, and found up wanting. Pawns in a billionaires game with no chance of getting to the serious end

He was a good/decent keeper. Obviously had a few dodgy moments, and that total brainfart of a Man U loan. Not on the level of Given/Pope/Krul, but certainly above Elliot and some of the other whoppers weve had (and still have) on the books -
Hmm...not sure on that she was part owner and was booted out almost the second the money ran out. Im not saying we didnt benefit, but her exuberance on initial spending is hamstrung us now (along with various other well known issues). Ironically if wed kept her away from the spending, that energy, positivity and ambition would probably mean wed have CEO, DOF etc already in place. Ill adjust my original comment to "shes brilliant at selling the dream, not so good at dealing with the realities of it". Example...a bank like Barclays doesnt try to sue you for millions unless theyre pretty confident they're right
-
No arguement that Stavelys efforts bought immediate improvements to us, but she always gave the impression that it would only work with other peoples money. Shes like one of those 'influencers' that go on tiktak/faceballs and all that saying 'im a millionaire through having 20 properties...and the secret is to use the rent to pay for the next....im actually several million in debt to the banks, but that doesnt matter" All great till someone cant pay the rent.
-
Nah after a year at Man U he wont be worth more than 25m. Their record with young strikers is abysmal...100m worth of Zirkzee and Hojland (both massively rated when they bought them) who they cant even give away now
-
Most likely when playing against us. Nailed on hattrick. I think he'll do ok, but will turn into one of those players that look like prime Messi/Ronaldo when playing us. We all know the type...Ryan Taylor who suddenly became better than Beckham at set pieces when we played Wigan, DCL whenever the scouse makems rock up. Loads of rubbish players who save the best performances of the season when we come around. Crystal Palace are masters of it

We couldn't even protest enough to get Ashley out. He sold cos he got an offer to double his money and a decade of free advertising. Certainly not from fan pressure. Man U protested for however many years while the Glazers were in charge, still havent got rid of them and now have the only billionaire tighter than Ashley running things. Liverpool werent exactly protesting significantly at Hicks and Gillett, but somehow fell on their feet with FSG Not a single Chelsea fan protested at Abramovich, but still fell into a barrel of cocks and came out sucking on the most perfectly formed tit ever when he was forced out for being mates with Putin. Fan pressure means nothing to owners when the cost of a club is pittance to them. An empty stadium might not look good (barring Makems who report 15 k as a full house of course). Its the equivalent of us losing a pound coin....nothing more than a minor irritation.
-
Would be less embarrassing than this window....people forget this team is built on players the 'top' clubs werent after...pretty much our entire first 11 was signed with no competion.
-
And it would be amazing how much PIF funds would suddenly become available. Us protesting would do sod all. We didnt protest at Ashley ffs
-
Why should we accept an owner deliberately funding our rivals? Ashley was so tight he wouldnt fund us a penny, but certainly wouldnt go to Dave Whelan and say heres 20m for a Wigan player
-
I think Hojland would be awesome for us away from the Man U environment
-
A player with self respect and belief in their own ability would choose us. A player chasing money will go to Man U.
-
We are just as likely to get a 30/50m dud from the PL....what if Elanga turns out to be useless for us? Its not beyond the realms of possibility
-
He is an agent advised kid. If he moves it will be to Manchester. We would be better for his career, and could probably match his wage. A more interesting question is why did our reputation not continue from 95 onwards
-
And its not a terrible arguement at all...we have had loads of terrible players bought for their experience and low risk. Buying the cartels cast offs has almost always not ended well for us. Weve done the best when weve taken chances on players no one else would touch...Bellamy/Robert/Ben Arfa/Bruno/HallLivramento/Asprilla
-
Exactly..weve taken no risk and looked like total mugs. Our strategy is garbage...its expensive and proven not to be hugely effective. Id rather we gambled 50m abroad than scapping around for a 35m player who will cost 60 because their club have a backbone
-
You thought Nolan was good? A relegation, 1 decent season in the championship and a performance against the makems qualifies as good? Or is he one of those "good in the dressing room" ones. You know them...have lost the ability to perform where needed but can give a good half time talk...see Ritchie and Lacelles
-
Theres as much risk in signing domestic players. Having "experience" doesnt make them any less risky or better. Weve had more than our fair share of duds by going for the "less risky" player with "experience"....exactly how we were stuck with the likes of Smith, Geremi, Taylor, Nolan for years.

He was always prone to a gaffe that would make Bramble embarrassed -
We have recruited well over the last few years, but this sticking to PL players is slowing us massively. We didnt get where we are by just looking as proven PL players. Arguably our best buys have been from abroad...Bruno, Isak, Tonali. Weve had reasonable success domestically but not as good
