Hes a freak of nature, I don't know any other way to describe him. The amount of time he won the ball tonight was astonishing. Words can't describe how good he is for us. In the way Rodri perfectly suits Pep, Sandro is exactly the same for us.

Tuchel, you know what you have to do.
-
Harvey Barnes take a bow soon. What an example you are setting.
-
What a performance. Teams better think twice about coming to SJP and playing that goofy formation because the punishment we dished out tonight was absolutely brutal. The rotations and overloading were as good as you will see period. We are an elite team and massive credit is due to all involved.

The depth people are talking about is 2 loan players who are costing them over half a million a week in wages. It's a short term moonshot. They have sold more players and will have to continue to do so in order to remain compliant, meanwhile we don't have to sell anyone this window and will be on the prowl looking for bargains at the end of May.
-
Why restrain trade when the people who are complaining aren't the clubs, the players or the agents?
-
Yes these are factors but we are essentially self sponsoring and these rules are under attack from City at any rate. The benefit of this for us is we can essentially get the max amount possible under the rules without having to compete in the marketplace against the Manchester United and Spurs. The key thing is sustainable revenue, one off shots in the arm are great (Grealish sale) for example but such things can't be relied upon. Our revenue is higher and our wage bill is lower our overall position financially is better than Villa as is our potential. We have someway to go to catch the sky 6 but that's a different discussion.

Yet according to Tebas state owned clubs are the problem

3 years and can't find some land? Big yikes.

I'm more referring to the the overall media reaction than just MOTD. but I do agree with you about the market research point I doubt any of that happens on Motd.

Unfortunately the coverage thing makes perfect sense when you put on the business hat and realise them being shit draws more attention and clicks than us being good. It's the depressing reality unfortunately, and it's the thing that actually keeps them relevant, the moment they stop generating interesting positive or negative is the moment they are fucked.

I wonder what Chelsea have left to sell to themselves to avoid another breach. Hotel gone, Carpark gone, Women's team gone. The EPLS very own Barca.
-
Nah they are very different profiles and age ranges. We have to continue to reinforce our academy by poaching players from other academies. This is the "meta" if you will. The Mintehs of this world are like low risk hedges. Even if they don't work out the outlay is minimal and if they do great they can either be sold or fight for a place in the team. It's all apart of one big holistic strategy.

Was responding to ON who said could he do the same job as big Joe and the answer to that is probably not. He's an attacker who wants to invert from the flank primarily. He could fill in as a striker sure or as a second forward from the 10. Again he's a great player but is he a good fit at the price for us? I lean no. For that fee I want someone who comes in and fits our system and is an upgrade on what we have.
-
No, you can't just create another big Joe I think the biggest facet of Big Joes game is his defensive capability now, he covers a lot of space and will obviously run through walls for Eddie, this is an requisite for us especially in central midfield. Cunha would be an upgrade on the ball for sure but without it? Not a chance massive downgrade. And again, it's a 63m release clause so has to be paid up front. It's a massive outlay for a position which can't be the priority this summer.

He's a very talented nutjob it's true.

Nice graphic from the athletic

When it comes to XG the thing to actually think about is XG per chance as midds has nicely displayed above.
-
The whole no dickhead policies is obviously the key to our recruitment like. The dressingroom is obviously very powerful and nobody will be waltzing in demanding they are first choice. Places are earned and the team comes first. I think we will be looking for 2-3 players that profile like Isak/tonali. High quality players who Eddie can push to be the best in Europe.
-
That I give you. Think we can do better personally but Eddie is a magician.
-
No tah. Really lacks end product and isn't even particularly good with the ball. He's just rapid, might as well dust Gabby Obertan off.
-
For our system absolutely. Madderz doesn't fit us at all.

Lads the worst city side since Hughes gave them a two goal start and 45 minutes and smashed them. Palace are the average premier league team, lets put them to the sword like we just did to another average premier league time.

That will be what got Masters appointed or what saved you from your FFP breach.
