I think his lack of footballing ability is his greatest problem.

Yup, at first you hear words like "investment/Champions League/Make our own luck" etc, but if you dissect it, hes very careful to essentially promise nothing at alll. When he says continue to invest- Im certain he means, continue to invest in cheap players to speculate on a profit. Not only is he not investing in the slightest (which is fair enough tbh), he's effectively doing the exact opposite with his SD shite preventing the club from raising further commercial revenue. He's a liar, and a bad one at that. If only the media would tell it how it is instead of skirting around the truth. A lot of our fans will swallow his crap, what Ashley has in effect done with that interview is bought more time and procured himself a brand new shit shield in Charnley heard a couple of mugs on phone ins softening to him, but tbh, people ive spoken to, and customers at work today pretty and correctly cynical about it. No chance of him firing the person who's job it is to hire the new manager, it's just not going to happen. We may see a manager appointed who isn't Carver and we will see the likes of sissoko move on. The spending will be more to keep us in the league than to push us forward however.
