Yeah agree. First game I've thought aye ok, this lad could possibly hold his own in the PL. As much as I want to see more game time, these cameos are great experience for him and just weaning him in slowly.

One thing that does infuriate me weekly is how none of our players can hit a ball cleanly They always seem like scuffs, rushed shots or trying to line it up on their stronger foot to the point they're crowded out. We just lack instinctive finishers outside of our forwards. On the game, we should've won and share the general frustrations of others. VAR done us dirty and there's no other way to put it. But we are still motoring and still adding points even with shit like that against us. HWTL!

We've signed quality as far as I'm concerned. We have a lot of average players on the books and we can't replace every single one in two windows so we're going to have to exercise some patience on that front. I now at least feel like the owners have the best interests of Newcastle football club at heart. We are being very shrewd with our dealings, and are waiting out for the right signings. Ok that may cause unrest amongst some fans, but it is far preferable to signing any old shite just to make headlines. All this alongside Eddie Howes night and day transformation of the current squad. I think if the league wasn't looking so open, people would've been more than satisfied. Our performances with what we consider sub par players has actually raised people's expectations, and a few more top signings could see us making a real fist of it. If we can finish top 10 this season and give the cups a real go, I'm buzzing!

Fair enough, they have to be the right signings not just any signings. Still though, I'm sure Murphy/wood etc. Are absolutely sound around the training ground, they're just lacking when it comes to the real job of playing football.
