Hey guys, I did a bit of creating on the Joelinton designs for Heron. Anyways, the group went with another design, which was great. I thought I'd still share the creations with you guys, if you'd like to use them for anything.

We probably do need a CDM who can break up play, and a creative CM yes. We'll not get both in this window. But you're suggesting to drop Joelinton, since switching him to the midfield, he's never looked better. Mental to suggest dropping him. Drop Shelvey,or Longstaff, Willock aye. Fuck me!

Not missing anything. He absolutely does fit in midfield. It's the best he's looked, never want to see him up front or out wide again. The lads a beast.

Wtf, Joelinton is by far a better tackler than finisher, we've found his position, he's a box to box lad, strength/dribble/tackles/passes/ he's got all the attributes the rest of the so called natural midfielders haven't got. If he improved his finishing, he'd be awesome. For me lately, his strength and tackle are that good he could play deeper, but that would be a waste on what else he brings, going forward and supporting attacks. He's been a revelation in the centre or middle of a group. Shelvey playing as some makeshift anchorman is the worst thing we're doing right now. He must be absolutely sensational in training because every manager since McClaren has seemed to rate him. He's the guy I drop.

I'd have tried to loan a player who's not playing regularly for a top side, one who likely wants to play in the world cup and needs form, one who knew there was no commitments after, they could go back to their parent club, or if successful and help us achieve survival, look at negotiation. There must be some across the PL and Europe in this position. That just sounds to easy though?

No it wasn't just like that,(but I get what your claiming) he literally looked like he'd taken up a midfield role, as ASM and Joelinton moved up. If he's bought in as a target man, he just needs to stay in the 18yd box for me. Most of yesterday, he was redundant.

Just watched a bit of this back. I noted Wood decided for much of the second half, to go and play in midfield. Bizarre.

Last week I was more annoyed when everyone was just blaming him and Howe, but to be honest, he wasn't brilliant yesterday, but is he brilliant, can he be brilliant, and has he been brilliant before, absolutely yes. In these shit times, he needs some protection from blame, because he's been good more than bad, we need to weed out the bad, before we start on him. The best players we have although early days are ASM/Wilson/Trippier/ and the new Joelinton. The rest are why we are in the bottom three. To be honest, we've all even written Willock off, but in comparison to ASM , he really has been off, so its warranted. Someone did mention on Willock though, move him to the right instead of Fraser, I think that could work, he certainly didnt fluke his performances the previous season, he just needs a more advanced role.

I agree on the captaincy thing perhaps now, but that could have looked really cunty, ex Bournemouth boss comes in and makes his ex player captain? Would have just annoyed too many. On Fernandes, I can only put it down to a trigger on games, maybe the club have a contract agreement that will be triggered? I don't know its weird one, because as you rightly point out, he's miles better than what we have playing every week.

People do that though. There's still a queue of fans that blow Rafa off, and would happily sack Howe and have him back here next week. (And yes I do like Rafa, but wouldn't go back) On facts though, ASM is still our best player.

Theres a mistake in every single player, that is costly, and balanced with not being clinical or confident going the other way, equals disaster. Have got to accept a win was far to important. 6 minutes of extra discipline, and it wasn't there.

Predicted it earlier in the othe thread. I have no confidence in the back four or keeper. Difficult to include Trippier and Dummett in that at the moment, but certainly the CBs who just cant deal with anything. Lascelles is just not good enough. Not a captain, not a leader, not a good defender. And considering we put plenty of balls into the box, Wood didn't exactly show this presence he's allegedly got? Fucking abysmal, I'd say were likely going down, without an absolute miracle. Only positives, Joelinton who's one if the best midfielders in the league at this point in time, based on tackles,dribbles, passes, etc, if only the lad could add finishing to his game. And ASM, because if we didn't at least have him around, teams just wouldn't fear us at all.

We could pump 50 balls in, in this game, and still not score. Theres nobody with the finishing abilities getting on any of it. Hopefully Wood shows up soon, with a big header or effort and scores.??
