Can't pretend I've seen a lot of him, but it's a bit harsh to use the fact his teams don't usually push for promotion against him, maybe the rest of the team was crap and he was doing a great job just scoring what he did? If you've watched him regularly and don't rate him fair enough but that point seems potentially a little unfair.
-
The test will be next year obviously when he's under the cosh a lot more against better players and he needs full focus and composure for 90 minutes.
-
You've just got to hope the mistakes were just a mental thing which rafa will/has cut out. He's a very good player if he can maintain his non-bollock dropping streak.

The emotion is definitely different for me, it's more of a stale marriage than a passionate love affair now, I still care and enjoy the good bits but it's not my everything like it once was.

just teasing really
-
He cant use that "we cant compete" as he has spent a lot of money at palace. 16th in the net spend for the summer
-
Hope Leicester get a glamour tie and win it next round, whoever the best 2nd finisher is.
-
Me neither. Pleased for him though.

It could do with tweaking but in general it's a good system. It's unfortunate if you can't go often due to life and location and stuff, and when you are free and it's convenient you don't have the points, but if you did get the ticket you'd be taking it away from someone who's been putting the hours in time and time again, probably sacrificing other things to make it. There're only so many tickets to go around.

Definitely. If he ever goes it'll be becuase of Ashley or if one of the previously mentioned jobs he'd love wants him, even then I'm not convinced he'd leave anytime soon particularly abroad. As if he'd even be tempted by a mediocre, even top 6-8 premier league club.

Are employers allowed to check your birth certificate? Might just start claiming I'm 18 again and a young prodigy, finished education at 7.
-
According to wiki his senior career started in 97-98. Which would have made him 15 at the start of the season. Impressive.

Sounds more harsh on disco than I meant that more of a general statement
-
Absolutely not is he too good to be here. It's the statement from disco I said i wouldn't disagree with, but I wouldn't disagree because its a nothing, hypothetical statement. No one plays to their full potential every week, it's meaningless.
-
Don't think anyone's disputing that like.
-
It's about general play and expectations though. If we'd bought a championship player and he was performing like Perez I'd be satisfied, can't speak for everyone but I'm disappointed because I thought he'd be standing out in this team in this division, looking good throughout most games, but so far he isn't. Doesn't mean he won't improve but if the September window closed tomorrow I'd be dissapointed if we didn't upgrade his position.

Takes one to know one, cuz.
-
Love that feeling of just knowing he's likely to score, it's less hoping for it now and just waiting for it.
-
The simple things are the main concern. He has his classy moments still but it's not like a Ben Arfa situation where you can just accept a poor game here or there or giving away the ball a lot because you know the net gain will be worth it. We'll obviously get punished a lot harder if he gives away the ball as sloppily as he did yesterday when we go up, and it's been way too frequent for quite a while.
-
Again, he's fine in this division, need someone better (even as a backup) if we go up. He's been here long enough now that we all know exactly what he does/doesn't give.
-
We do seem to go in circles about his best position mind. If he plays badly am he should be on the left, plays badly on the left should be behind the striker. And I don't think he's best suited to being the main striker but that was arguably where he had his best run of form for us. Hopefully he sorts a few of his problems out and really makes a position his own. Really hasn't been playing well for a while now but he's still only 23, stuff like decision making and awareness has plenty of time to come along.
-
He'll win the next 2 and go on celebrity juice.
-
He does have plenty of time to develop further but for all the talk of his age he's only 2 years younger than Krul mind , he's not a complete youngster. He has looked very solid this season though.
