Not surprising to me. Academies/Centre's of excellence have a piss poor record of developing players who go on to have a full career in the professional game. I really think that youth development should be taken out of clubs and put into regional centre's with a broader access point and a focus on the kids' development, not the club's interests.

I thought he and a good game. Made a couple of good saves and came off his line well. The goal comes through about three players from memory, he probably saw it a fraction of a second too late. I think it isn't by any stretch of the imagination a goalkeeping error/' could have chucked his cap on it' job.

I think he's been pretty sharp most of the season tbh, it's just his overall end product has been lacking. No sign of him being a natural/predatory finisher but he's really making a positive contribution to our forward play. If you could blend the best bits of his play with Gayle's strengths we'd have a world beater.
