Nice info I wonder how this compares to the norm for the PL and more importantly to us?

Given and Dublin springs to mind

Bilic spoiled my 100% record in the sack race. Hung on by skin of his teeth last season.

Origi sounds plausible if Gayle or Mitro is leaving. https://thisisfutbol.com/2017/08/transfers/newcastle-in-running-for-striker-origi/ Some blurb from his original transfer to Liverpool: "What kind of striker is he? The main reason Brendan Rodgers is so interested in the Belgian is his versalility - one of Rodgers's most sought-after attributes. He is not an out-and-out target man in the mould of Rickie Lambert, but more similar to Daniel Sturridge with an ability to play across the front three or in a number of different formations. At Lille he has played up front and out wide, as a loan striker and as a more traditional No 10. At Lille last season, he started mostly on the left-hand side of a 4-3-3."

Apparently. Big bad Mike Ashley wants him out. Apparently. Everybody knows it. I must have been in the same place as you when the memo was as circulated.

Don't think anyone has written Gayle off or suddenly seen Mitro as the better option. Just a bit of speculation that (a) we would need to sell a striker to bring a better option in; (b) we'd get more for Gayle, he might not be as effective in this formation in this league, plus it's all gone a bit weird/seems a bit wrong re him at the mo. Dwight to The Whites and Das Bost in on Thursday night

Selling Dwight. Like Les Ferdinand or David Kelly?

As ever, hard to know if much truth in any of it. Three more business days until end of window. We'll know where we stand then. For about 48hours

There's no place like home -em. I could shoot and pass and run, beat Feyenoord for fun In sunshine or in rain With my head I'd be notchin' while the 'keeper stood a watching When I played without the pain

Pretty sure that all of them--including several surrounding counties too--must have been eaten...

That last comment has done my head in. I now have some sort of Julio-Geordio,Daisy Duke, No Way Jose, mash-up going on. Currently choosing to focus on this part if the trio:

Had same thought.

Gayle would only go for what was perceived to be a significant upgrade/'guaranteed' starter (some young would be superstar on loan... I'll have Rashford please ).
-
And there's me thinking he's just taken the huff because we're giving Das Bost no.9.

Tom Downs returns. Ha! Loved watching the the full match knowing the outcome. Couple of observations, Mbemba gave the ball away too many times/more than anyone. Rafa won't like that. Perez' effort was first class and some lovely touches, but we really need an upgrade in that position. Feel bad saying so after one of his better performances and assist but final ball was just not good enough. Liked Manquillo's contribution. It was clear WH were targeting Mbemba's side, but Manquillo in the main did what he had to do very effectively. Oh, and delighted to see Ritchie back in top form; what a game he had.

Merino was very good on the ball but a lot of the freedom he got to express himself was down to the work done by Hayden, excellent today Yep. Does the easy to overlook dirty work very well. Closes down, cuts out angles, as well making/finding space in busy areas. Great attitude/sound lad as well

Lejeune could be even better, look forward to them being a partnership sincerely hope so.
