Reckons finishing where we did in the league in this format is worse than getting knocked out in the group stage last time around

Was talking to a lass in the club shop today who said they've just had these delivered today due for release next week. Said it was a 3 piece collection with one of them being a jacket.

PSG and Liverpool first half aside we've not really looked like we've had a game plan for ages. When we were at our best it seemed like we had subtle differences each game catered to give us the edge over whoever the opposition was. This season we seem to just have the same generic gameplan each match and it's resulted in stale disjointed performances for the most part. I'm not even sure what our identity is supposed to be anymore.

Got one striker who can't shoot and another who can't get into positions to shoot. Doesn't fill you with confidence for the rest of the season, like

I get the tactic of playing on the counter and going for pace but surely Wissa starts ahead of Gordon in that game plan? The chance to exploit them with pace seems Szoboszlai at RB so it's the one game Gordon actually may be the better option than Barnes on the left as well. Ah well let's see how it goes.

Arsenal have been absolutely terrible since taking the lead.

We needed players who were ready to step in an be able to play at champions League level and in the league competing for a champions league spot. It's totally different to sides who really only need to avoid relegation. If Brighton or someone finish 9th or 15th it doesn't really make that much of a difference to them. They can sign a load of gambles, give them a load of game time and not have to worry about results that much. If they hit the jackpot and then can flip one for a massive profit then it covers all the ones that don't. These £15m players wouldn't develop the same way here on limited minutes as they would elsewhere either.

The fact that Arteta's playstyle is so rancid that Mikel Merino is actually a viable option for them at striker proper winds me up They'd have walked the league this year if they had Alvarez, mind. They might still do anyway.

Yeah I'm amazed anyone has any sympathy for Palace. Glasner wanted the club to show ambition and reinforce the squad to build on what was a massively successful last season. The club wants to stick to their model of developing players with the intention of selling them on for profit. They aren't hampered by PSR and want it in place to stop clubs with actual ambition threatening their PL spot. They're in the position they are in by choice.
