Tripps definitely adds some calmness back there when he's playing. Took Bournemouth about 15 minutes to realise they could just press us and we'd shit ourselves or give it away.

We are in a difficult position where we need real quality players to challenge for top 4 but can't offer European football or crazy wages. So whilst the fee is high I still think it's an opportunistic signing in a way that's there's not going to be competition from any of the other top clubs that there would be in most other windows.
