You get it at least. We had Cabaye for at least a small portion of his best years and any negative feelings towards him are misplaced. He was at the heart of our best placed finish since SBR and in spite of being instructed by a complete imbecile while doing so. He wasn’t wrong to want to get away from that. My XI is purely based on it being a Keegan side and every one of the players being able to express themselves. He’d have been immense alongside Gary Speed in the middle.

Almost unstoppable when on the ball (Robert had to work much harder which he didn’t always do..) I take the point about Beardsley and to a lesser extent Hamann, but.. the former has pretty much tarnished himself over the last decade by how he’s licked up to MA and Dietmar Hamann is one of the most humourless c***s I’ve ever seen (he’s also got a strange eye twitch which makes him look like a mental patient), anyone who’s seen his pundit work will know what I’m talking about. Rafa rarely changes things around. He did against Watford last season and we caused them all sorts of bother, despite still losing to them. The rest of the time we are very well organised but also very predictable. Especially that cross field ball into the box that ruins Yedlin every time. Maybe this injury could be a blessing.. one of the young players has to step up at some point. I don’t recall Sterry being any use or not. I did get to see Victor Fernandez in pre season and he looked decent. As someone mentioned before, Hayden could probably fill in. Did he ever play RB before he joined us?

Erm f*** off From what I’ve been told, neither Rafa or Lascelles were consulted or were even aware the club were going to put out such a message via their website, it’s purely the work of Bishop and I even doubt Charnley had any input in it despite his ‘signature’! I’ve tried to find out if Rafa and or Lascelles are unhappy or whatever about this and all I’ve got back is it doesn’t bother them, means nowt, actions speak louder than words and that’s what it’s now about for staff and players from now on, i.e. what they do on the pitch.
