I think the development and conditioning he will see from embedding into Howe's style of football will be more important then getting him playing for Leicester. Not to disregard them or their coaches, but their intensity isn't the same. After 12 more months of working around our first team he may be ready to pay, or then we can look at loaning him out, at his age there's no rush.

Probably will come to regret saying this, but I struggle to see their league ever being anything more then a novelty. They're signing amazing players, but it's still a handful of players across a whole league. Buying top quality defenders will never seen as exciting so I can't see them doing that, so we may end up with world class attackers playing against part time defences. Their clubs will still need to build the entire infrastructure and depth that most professional clubs have and this will take time, even with unlimited wealth behind them. The whole thing with their league just feels soulless

He will be coming in with a higher base level of fitness then others, so may not have to ramp up to more intense training as quick as others. So while he's not having much of a break, I trust the trainers are going to give him the right routine to get him ready for the season while not burning him out

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)
wiseman replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
6 months ago I would've though Maddison is the best we could get, after the last week I'm now not worried if we miss out on Maddison as Ive got faith that management will find someone to do the job anyway. -
Imagine telling us 2 years ago we could have a midfield trio of 2 Brazilians and an Italian International
-
Admittedly I know fuck all about him before the last 72hrs, but as a now YouTube expert on him, I'd expected us to find cover for Longstaff after his injury last season showed how vital he is. I didn't think we'd be able to find a replacement for his work rate with more skill as well but it shows how little I know about football these days

Even during Ashley's darkest days we had some exciting strikers like Ba, Cisse, Carroll and Wilson but none of them compare to watching what he can do with the ball. Can't wait to see him with a full preseason under his belt

New Zealand vs Qatar abandoned as New Zealand refused to come out in the second half after ref did nothing regarding racial abuse of Michael Boxall by a Qatari player. Great to see a team actually do something about it

That's exactly how I feel, one of my favourite managers since he managed the roar, was some great seasons then. But I can't stand Spurs and never wish them to succeed.
-
I'm a bit of a broken record here, but if Spurs give him time he will do well,I just don't see them giving him time needed to rebuild the clubs culture.
-
Knowing how fucking incompetent the cunt is, he will try to tank the club and instead lead them to untold glory because he has no fucking idea how to do anything properly
-
He won the Asian cup with Australia, won the A League and J Leagues, and while not as high quality, he will have them playing attractive football if they give him time, which the fans won't. He won't take Levy's bullshit though.
-
Kane turning down playing for Real Madrid to try and break Shearer's record would be monumentality stupid. If they match Levy's valuation of him, he'd force him out of the club anyway
-
Was that because of shelvey?

How's probably looked at next season and figured it's times like this we need Minteh

4 minutes of shanked passes ending up all over the place

Absolutely love Ange, loved him when hea managed my local team the Brisbane Roar and what he achieved there, so I'm going to be biased, I loved him when he managed the national team and won the Asian Cup. admiredhis accomplishments in the J League and Celtic since. If we didn't have Eddie I'd have been over the moon is we got him. As long as Levy gives him time and backs him, I think he will do well at Spurs, his style of football is exciting and fast paced, there's no backwards steps with him. He has the players running through walls for him, and will unite the dressing room, and will unite the fans as well. But he needs time to imbede his culture of Angeball, and I don't know if Levy and the fans will give him that, though they should know by now that they are not the same club they were a few years back and rebuilding takes time. On the one hand I'm super excited to see him be given an opportunity like this, on the other I'm worried he won't get the time and won't get another chance, to manage at this level. Either way I can't wait for his press conferences and how he handles the premier league media
-
If he ends up being able to play anywhere across the front 3, and we get Maddison who can also do this and add in Isak whose shown he can play comfortably centrally or out wide, that creates a very mobile attacking trio that defenders will need to keep track of which will cause teams all kinds of trouble.

I'd not seen that interview before, but it really does explain why Bruce didn't like him, the player had more standards then the manager.

I normally hate the expression of being on the beach already, but it does feel like the season has finished, Pope sent off for his operation, Bruno already going to take much needed rest. Thank fuck we aren't stressing about needing points this weekend, dont think I'd cope
-
It was obvious Gordon was bought for the future, to fit the plan, but having the system broken down so well like that, it makes perfect sense and gives me more faith in him long term being the replacement for Almiron
-
Goal posts are probably thinking Murphy's playing
-
Burns definitely not missed a calling as a striker
-
Maxi would have a field day against this backline though I'd rather Isak not be injured here
-
Great stroke from Anderson, for someone so young, he really isn't looking out of place do far today
