We did okay but equally we never threatened to make a real contest out of it. Feel like we’re stuck with these types of performances at these grounds.

Salah’s close control is wonderful.

Awful ball by Trent there, should be a goal.
-
Second half has been ridiculously poor. Can’t believe what I’m watching.

Haha what a challenge.

Matterface’s balls gone again.

Proper full-blooded cup game that and it needed a gutsy performance from us. -

Would love us to get a comfortable winning margin so we can start kicking these up a height, horrible bunch. -

Our marking is diabolical at times. -
That’s a clear pen

I’d be very happy if the development impacts Leazes Park, place is an absolute dump and needs redeveloped.

Proper fun window for Villa fans, if nothing else

Just doesn’t look up to it from what I’ve seen. It happens, but quite surprising given his experience in the league.

First game at St James this season for me and I was struck by how flat we were in our play. Second half dreadful and it felt like it was inevitable we would concede. Fulham’s options off the bench were far better (Muniz and Pereira) than our equivalents, which is damming.

Surely you keep Duran as your main striker. I know Villa want Felix, but can’t see them selling both.
-
Don’t think you can turn down £60m for Watkins.
-
Don’t intend to be reductive, but there’s some instances in this Burnley match where it’s honestly Sunday league standard.

All the best to him, decent fee truth be told as well. -
Spurs’ squad-building has been absolutely dire.

Original twitter post seems to have been deleted, hopefully this one is better.

Their business will likely make me look foolish in hindsight, but City’s focus on young defenders seems a bit odd. If I was a City fan, I’d be concerned about not addressing the clear lack of cover in the middle of midfield.
