I did feel a bit for Zirkzee. Yes he was woeful, but weren’t they all? The real fault was with the manager drastically underestimating our prowess in midfield with his setup. Amorim got it hopelessly wrong.

First time in my lifetime where I’ve felt like we’re collectively and individually far superior to them. No doubt we rode our luck at times tonight, but overall we were just so much better. What a sweet feeling.

They need to be better at communicating. Forget the name of the club official but it was ill-advised in hindsight to brief the journalists that a decision is ‘truly imminent’ and then say nothing else for another couple months.
