Feel like Arsenal are content to coast along in first gear, but we have shown more than I expected.

Feel a bit bad for Rosenior honestly. Yes he's a bit David Brent at times, but it was a job that was obviously too big and much too soon for him. However, he was likely 'forced' to take it due to Chelsea's relationship with Strasbourg. He was doing pretty well over there and all that development has counted for nothing.

I'm not sure it's a lack of effort from the team tbh, it's more like a lack of steeliness. I think unfortunately, there's a real softness throughout the squad and they find it hard to get going / dig in when things aren't falling their way.

Notwithstanding I'm pretty firmly Howe-out at this point, I do think if we experience no pickup at the end of this season, plus have a slow start next season in terms of return on points, it will get ugly quite fast in terms of fan sentiment, if Howe remains in post this summer.

I don't think the coaching team and players have really grasped the importance of the derbies for our fans tbh. We looked way too 'nice' in these games and it feeds into a wider point for me where we have a team full of softies. All our players, with the exception of a couple, are just are too fucking nice. They're not making big challenges, they don't even get in the ref's face after a decision. Newcastle teams always need a bit of nastiness, grit and an edge to them. That's completely gone this season imo!

Agree with this. The last couple games since the break are strikingly familiar from his end at Bournemouth imo, the absolute listlessness of it all.

I’m finding it difficult to really buy-into the ‘ceiling’ argument when we’re serving up performances like this. We just look like an absolutely shite, clueless footballing team.

We are absolutely crying out for new ideas imo.

There’s not much of a defense you can mount for Howe for this performance imo. Supposedly we’ve had more time on the training ground, but we looked ragged, sterile and under-coached. I’m a bit shocked at just how poor a team we are currently.

We’re not a well-coached team, we look far below the standard required even.
