  1. That's a pen on Mings, unless you're allowed to shirt pull in the box at set pieces now.
  2. Should be looking to get 9 points from these home games if we have any aspirations of top 8. 7 a bare minimum.
  3. "Shelvey from a tight angle plays it across and its a third?"
  4. People overrate Palace imo because they don't get battered at home by the big sides. Thought they were quite poor at SJP and only got away with a point because VAR didn't have a clue what they were doing, and that was when they had a fully fit side out and we were missing Bruno, ASM and Wilson.
  5. Incredible. Non stop loud backing all afternoon before a marathon of the old songs in the 2nd half. Loved singing the Andy Cole song.
  6. Did very well today, well taken goals. Shame he couldn't get the hattrick, the finish for that offside goal was unreal. And I haven't seen it back, but was his 1st a bit flukey? He's never seemed the type of player to go for those volleys or half chances, was blown away that that went in standing in the away end. I hope that he can keep up that level of performance and/or output, but I don't know how many times we've said that after he's bagged over his time here.
  7. We have far more of a cutting edge when he plays and it showed today and at the back end of last season/start of this season. Before we took him off to keep him for next week I fancied us to get 6 or more, looked far more blunt after he went off. He's quality, if only he wasn't made of glass.
  8. Think I must've posted this 2 or 3 times in this thread but he's the best player I've ever seen play for us. He's world class.
  9. Don't rate him but he was very good today. Did very well between both boxes and took his goal brilliantly.

    Joe Willock

Stood out for me today, played really well. Best he's been for a while. Some lovely touches and link up play and unlucky not to score.
  11. 45 minutes into the drive back, what a day. Me fatha's first away since Marseille in 2004 and first away win in the flesh. Controlled that from start to finish, very similar to Brentford and Norwich away last season. Looked like we were going to get 6 or 7 before Howe made the changes, understandably so mind. Just all round played really well. Almirón, Bruno, Trippier, Willock and Botman stood out for me. Really good performances and it's great to have Wilson back, we always have 10x a cutting edge when he starts and it's exciting thinking about that side with added Isak, ASM and beg jow. Onto Brentford.
  12. Heading to the ground now, Joelinton and Targett nursing knocks apparently so fair enough with that, but no idea why Murphy is starting games when Fraser (who's been in form for Scotland) and Anderson are fit and available. Also love how ASM's unserious niggle v Wolves has kept him out for almost 6 weeks.
  13. An hour and a half away from the Big Smoke. Oddly looking forward to it tbh few pints of the black stuff in the Guinea Grill before heading on over to Putney. Fucking pain in the arse that Putney Bridge or just the District line in general is a bit fucked as well.
  14. Think Brentford will be too close for him so hopefully he's back for the Man Utd/Everton double header.
  15. Due to the trains screwing me right up the arse, managed to convince my dad to drive down for this. His first away game since the Marseille semi final in 2004, here's hoping for a better result.
  16. Bruno hates the mackems, gerrin https://instagram.com/stories/brunoguimaraes/2937529729860928449?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
  17. Not a fan of overly strict ID ticket policies for away games tbh. I understand that 'pass ownership on' policy from Brighton but like if you and a mate buy a ticket each for a game, but your mate realises he can't go 24-48 hours before the game or even the day of you can't just pass that ticket on to a mate or family member? That's wrong imo. I'd keep the system but I'd allow methods for fans to get their feet on the ladder, such as 10-25 points for every ST ticket bought or renewed, a point for every home cup match ticket bought, points for in-stadium purchases such as food, drink or in the club shop. Just so it allows others to actually get some points on the board. Because as it stands (and I've benefitted from this personally but I still disagree with the principle) unless you know someone with a high amount of points personally who can sort you out you'll never be able to go to an away game ever again. How can young fans, aged liked 14-18, experience watching us away from home like many of the older fans did aplenty in the 80s and 90s? You can't just tell them to go to a south coast away game midweek which has a miniscule chance of dropping to 0, they'll have school, may not be able to afford it and parents may not want them to go those games. May be a rolling period as well so like FFP it just counts the points accumulated over the last 3 years or something. I don't think ballots will be done unless we get to a final(s).
  18. I get what you mean but he pulls off the tracksuit wanker look imo. I mean...
  19. Biggest German bottle since 1941 when they held a western European lead.
