We made it hard for them with our best players out injured, all I can ask for. Extra time added on came from us wasting time tbf.
-
They won't be anywhere as passive 2nd half, we'll need to score again to stand a chance of getting anything.

Harold Shipman fewmin. Delightful stuff. Straight into the veins.

Watching Longstaff attempting to pass the ball is football terrorism.

His end product is no different to Fraser's, 5 goal involvements iirc.

Linked to Maitland-Niles by Alex Crook from TalkShite. Probably bullshit but would be a decent squad option.

Out for a tipple before a gig in York tomorrow. (Well, today given the time). Some news coming out of the gig would be splendid.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Meh, not too arsed about this tbh. Was a very solid keeper under Benitez and kept us in countless games under Bruce in 2019-20, but since he came back from injury circa March 2021 he's been in average at best form. Has had a few clangers in him since whether that be poor game management, commanding his area or just poor shot stopping. -
The nonexistent saga is finally over

Aye. The £50m budget is going to be stretched it seems.

It is shite, archaic craic that they don't let any away fans in any pubs, mind. Why I probably won't ever do Wolves away. Away days for me are about going to cities up and down the country with mates, few pints and a bit craic with fellow away fans and home fans alike, match, back home. Wolves actively inhibits that experience. Besides SJP Molineux is one of the few grounds in a city centre and I get the sentiment that we shouldn't let them in any of our pubs but I would never want to see it enforced.

Bakayoko is absolutely terrible. Housemate of 2 years and Chelsea fan says he's the 2nd worst permanent signing of the last 5 years they've made ahead only of Drinkwater. Always refers to his performance in a 4-1 defeat at Watford in 2018 as the single worst individual performance he's ever seen from a footballer for Chelsea.

We have a really good run of games after Wednesday. Palace (h) West Ham (a) Bournemouth (h) Fulham (a) Brentford (h) Man Utd (a) Everton (h)

Exactly that. Allows Bruno to operate in oppositions halves more often and provides a good passing range on top of defensive cover. Good in the air too. Would be absolutely delighted with him and I'd probably implode if we got Pulisic on loan on top of Alvarez. Likewise if we got Maddison instead of Alvarez but I just can't see Leicester selling.

It's worth bearing in mind we did okay there last season with this line up: Dubravka Manquillo Schar Lascelles Lewis (Ritchie, 15mins) Murphy Hayden Shelvey Fraser (Willock, 87mins) Saint-Maximin (Wilson, 79mins) Joelinton

I think overall it was a decent point. How Lage sets Wolves up helped with this but I also think it was an indictment of Howe putting his stamp and style of play in terms of using and recycling the ball on the team. On top of that this side never gives up, we go 1-0 down now and I never think that we're out of a game. Given that we bossed possession and chances created without 2 of our best players (one of whom is pivotal to us) is a good sign and we could've and probably should've snatched it. The lack of quality was all too evident though especially in the 1st half but we have far better players going to come back into the side as well as 4 days left of the transfer market. After Liverpool we have a canny run of games; Palace (h), West Ham (a), Bournemouth (h), Fulham (a), Brentford (h). Things are looking up. Once Bruno comes back in and Isak is eased into things by Howe we have a canny and potentially exciting side on our hands.

He's served his purpose. He shouldn't be near a PL starting lineup for us; Isak will see to that thankfully. But I do think some of the stick he got today was a bit harsh; the crosses weren't coming in when he was on the pitch. Almiron and ASM were constantly going back on their stronger foot allowing the Wolves backline to settle. ASM should've been trying to take on Semedo who was on a yellow and sticking a cross in at every opportunity but he wasn't. We don't play to his strengths (assuming that headers on set pieces and crosses are his strength that is ) so I expect that we'll look much better with Isak in the side given his strengths and overall difference in quality to Wood.

Was quietly confident we could get a point a la Palace with Bruno, Isak, ASM, Trippier et al all playing given their injuries and recent form despite that Bournemouth win. Without Bruno plus maybe another one it's a really tall order.

Great cameo. Doesn't have any fear and unlucky not to bag the winner. Would like to see him get more first team minutes.

A poor performance is not related to effort and pashun.

For where we want to be in the coming years he is simply not good enough. Anyone hanging onto 8 games 3 and a half years ago need to let go.
