  1. Can totally see this being the case.
  2. His belief in his own belief in others, is the vital element to Keegan's success.
  3. I'm not too concerned. We looked to be trying to get him on the end of crosses, v Watford, but with only 2 days training together we just didn't get it right. I think he'll be more effective after a full week training.
  4. Not many didn't work out. Even those that [in a sense] qualify, worked out but were improved upon quicker than expected. I'm thinking Malcolm Allen, Mark Robinson [injury ended him], Paul Kitson, Darren Huckerby. Keegan rarely signed a dud. Maybe at other clubs his record is different, but I can't think of many at NUFC. Edit: Keegan's ability to spot the talent and nurture it was second to none. Maybe Pep is similar, but you can't really compare as it doesn't really matter if he gets one or two wrong.
  5. If we sign both Umtiti and Dembele let's not buy them at the same time. Don't want them bumping into each other on the flight over.
  6. Isn't he responsible for a lot of the reports?
  7. LB with Dummett on the left of a defensive 3. midfield trio with ASM playing off Wood.
  8. Can't say I'm looking forward to the meltdown when he makes his first error.
  9. How effective is their midfield at protecting their defence? Looks like a penalty waiting to happen in our current set up.
  10. That's a very short-sighted view. Every club will reject the first bid, so we'd end up at the bottom of the list and return to the top.
  11. I'm not sure there are 3 players we haven't been linked with.

We've seen no change to the facilities. My apologies. We've installed a greengrocer's window next door to the changing rooms.

Not that crazy. He was an Arsenal player, trained to Arsenal standards, then he became a Steve Bruce player.
  14. Which is when he needs to adapt his game. Quick pass to a team mate should be his first thought in those situations.
  15. Give Rafa the players he needs and you see a different game altogether.
  16. I'm not sure. Obviously you are correct in relation to any other player, but I think he could be effective, all the same. His reading of the game is absolutely spot on, possibly to the detriment of his instinct. Something else I've been impressed with is the way he shapes his body, he seems to hover, leaving him free to go in whichever direction he needs.
  17. He came with that reputation. Was considered a terrible signing but he surprised a lot of us. I think [this applies to a lot of our current squad] he realises he hit his peak, under Rafa, then Bruce brought them back to comfortable reality.
  18. We should be winning the second balls though.
  19. Should probably have included the international dialling code.
  20. I'll be happy to start with Trippier and Ritchie at WB. Get those crosses in the box so Wood can get a first al hat-trick, then bring on Dummett in te second half to secure the points.
  21. He arrived as an Arsenal player and benefitted from having no instruction from Bruce. This season he had a full pre-season with the useless cunt.
  22. Four pages? Maybe they have a point.
  23. Willock. He definitely benefitted from Bruce's lack of tactics/instructions.
  24. Top bloke. Totally unjustified sacking.
