  1. Burnley would have held out for £25mill.
  2. Maybe they should focus on looking for fouls, instead.

    Jesse Lingard

Dunno. He may be interested in the loan, but not prepared to sign a contract. I know we can offer a relegation clause but that leaves his situation uncertain.
  4. £45-50million isn't too much for a club competing in the top 4, so it's not an absurd amount of money, given our ambitions. If he's the top target then I assume we're prepared to pay it. By the time he retires we could be spending £100mill on his replacement.
  5. I think there's that and Botman isn't going to force the issue. Whereas Carlos appears determined to get it done, if reports are to be believed.
  6. I said it somewhere else, but the way he shapes his body is brilliant, he never seems committed to the direction his momentum should carry him, if that makes sense, almost like he can change direction in mid air. But yeah his strength is immense too, he just bullies people off the ball. It looks like he fouls people a lot, but they just bounce off him.
  7. First few seconds he looks like somebody pretending to know the words, and I thought that's why it had been shared. Became clear pretty soon that he had some kind of condition, and I thought "Sick fucks" for sharing that. Weird how the world works, eh?
  8. I've seen a bit of chaos in his attempts to report on our activity.
  9. We still sang "Terry Hibbitt on the wing" in the early 90s.
  10. I tried something similar, away to Millwall one year. It didn't go down well.
  11. His fitness isn't up to scratch for a PL player, and that's before Bruce got his lamb fat soaked hands on him. You see a different player when he has some desire. We're all the same really, when we're fucked, we're fucked, but when we care enough we'll fuck ourselves that little bit more.
  12. He's improving. I hope it continues. Dropped for the game yesterday but took his opportunity when it came, rather than going in a strop. I do feel his clash with Bruce was 6 and half a dozen, and it would have been best for everybody if he left, but he seems to buying into Howe and if he can get back on course with his development, he can still catch up. Don't think he'll increase his speed much, but his reading of the game could improve enough to cover some of that.
  13. Agree. Read it. Consider Edwards raison d'etre. then dismiss.
  14. Still seems to have the initial burst, just can't sustain it. Coming off the bench against tired defenders would make him more effective. And his workrate will help close games out.
  15. TBF people on here wouldn't be demanding we sign Rafinha if he couldn't get past Dummett once or twice.
  16. Mixed feelings. Would love to see them go down but the media will pin it on Rafa. Every single thing they rejected about Bruce will be used to hammer Rafa.
  17. Alli AND Lingard is overkill.
  18. I think he'll contribute over the rest of the season.
  19. You appear to agree, then change your direction in order to disagree. I think what Kaka is saying is that he has been mismanaged precisely because he wasn't sold.
  20. Think I'd be happy to have him as back up next year. Like I say, if he can get a good pre-season under his belt, he'll be an effective sub.
  21. Too much emotion, typical continental. Doesn't alter the fact it's a stonewall pen.
  22. He's another lacking fitness, but he never gives up. His effort obviously means he tires quicker than most, and might explain his proneness for injury. I'd like to see him in good shape because he can be effective. was it Brentford where he put a cross on ASM's toe for him to score.

    Joe Willock

That's what i take from his performance today. He hasn't given up.
