  1. He looks nowt like Antoine Sibierski.
  2. Old school. Love it. No photo opportunity just a kickabout with the fans. What a day for them.
  3. Harder now with it all done virtually, but they really should be writing up about how bad we are. Because they're not fucking journalists.
  4. Admitting he doesn't even know what a midfield is.
  5. It was an ok penalty, save not a miss The penalty was piss weak! My piss is strong. Poor though, hasn't got 2 pennies to rub together.
  6. It'll go to pens and the lads will be exhausted fr the weekend game.
  7. We'll get 2 shots on target tonight and that will be the end of it.
  8. The only thing VAR can correctly assess is contact. There's no need to even look at most of them though. There wasn't. But since the rule change there is. The rules are being adapted to suit VAR.
  9. He isn't a football manager. He has no desire to develop his skills as a football manager. The only thing he's interested in is a [well paid] job for Steve. Every interview is an opportunity to promote his brand, nothing more.
  10. The only thing VAR can correctly assess is contact.
  11. Boris being anywhere near the no10 shirt is the biggest travesty in that video.
  12. Nobody would think falling down would be in the thoughts of a striker though on goal.
  13. Will VAR instruct them how much leniency to apply?
  14. Two people that should never have been anywhere near management, but because they were captains got carried away by their own hype. It's all well and good leading by example on the pitch, being the general prepared to die for the cause, in the heat of battle. But that becomes tiresome in the day to day.
  15. Again this is bollocks. The man's a liar. With him as manager, the performance is almost always s***. Can only think of a handful of exceptions where the football has been somewhat watchable. Occasional decent results have been masking dreadful performances for his entire tenure. Totally right, we're getting undeserved results and that's been consistent during his tenure. It gives the impression we're doing better than we are (the stats nerds: xPts we were on 31 or something last year, competing with only Norwich for bottom place according to that) and feeds into the narrative that Bruce is doing a fantastic job. After all, on face value we've drawn against Tottenham, we beat Chelsea, Man United, drawn to Man City. All these results, doing great yeah? We've been outperformed consistently by teams we should be competing with, Brighton in particular, and the few instances we do perform we can't keep it consistent. Other fans don't have to watch us every week, so their impression is often misinformed based on what they see, they see results. They don't see performances. And while it lasts, I'm all for lady luck giving us undeserved points. But when the luck runs out, we'll be facing a lot more than just an agenda-driven media People remember the performances against top clubs [because they actually watch those] more than the Tuesday nights in Stoke.
  16. We could all come together as a community and shit on Steve Bruce. That might be worthy of celebration.
  17. Good to hear he had a good game. Got no reason to wish ill on any of the players. they've already signed for the club, I think that's enough for anybody.
  18. Cheer up haemorrhoid heed Oh what can it mean
  19. I don't know, league results seemed "normal" when European leagues were resumed behind closed doors. I think the nearly nonexistant preseason has more to do with it. Totally racist but, Euroepeans are naturally more relaxed than the Brits so this doesn't really impact them.
  20. It goes without saying that we'll get more training ground type goals, in this environment. I haven't seen much this season but out of what I've seen, Hendrick vs West Ham, and Joelinton vs Morecambe fit the category.
  21. This is like paying for a prostitute and acting as though you actually conquered a woman. The result is the result, but this was given and not earned. That’s a cracking analogy but doesn’t explain why a defeat is more pleasing. I’m not ecstatic at all but I’ll take the point as whoever is our manager, I don’t want us relegated. Understood, but personally I am describing why I derive no true pleasure from this at all, not describing why I would prefer the team to lose. This also gives me no pleasure. Some people on here actively support the team to fail, which is their right, but I am not one of these people, frankly. At the end of the season, one more point is appreciated, but when that match ended, my initial reaction was anger at the state of officiating in the sport, tbh. Nobody is getting any pleasure out of it. That's just it. So they need to find it in other places.
  22. Just proved how he has his finger on the pulse of modern football. Yesterday Brighton messed up by scoring too soon, leaving Man U enough time to get another. Bruce drilled it into his boys that they were not to score until the game was over.
  23. There is one fixed camera in cricket that lines everything up. That would be difficult in the game known as soccer.
