None of them are a patch on Susannah Hoffs though -
See you in July.

Not me like. Unless I really needed the additional money: gambling debts, building projects etc. You are a long time retired from professional sport. And if you're in the frame of mind that more inevitably makes a difference to quality of life and future security, then nothing is ever enough. Surely you can feather a nice nest with 30-40k a week, or less. The bolded statement is becoming less and less relevant by the year. The number of opportunities for a cushy number in the media expands every year. It's still competitive, but that should never discourage a professional sportsman.

The fact that we have loaned Slimani, and loaned ou Mitrovic coukd easily be read as a sign that Ashley wants Rafa out. Hows that then? Rafa wanted Mitrovic sold so we could buy Slimani, indicating his intentions for the club going forward. Ashley is only interested in short term. At the end of the season Rafa will be back at square one. He also didn't want him sold to a Premier League side and nobody else wanted to pay for him. We could have still signed Slimani permanently. Ashley prepapred to take Rafa's advice on what is needed to survive, but fuck backing his future plans for the club.

Islam Slimani - Returned to Leicester

Saw her in Eldon Square in 1987, her PA got a shoe bounced off her head when the speaker blew. More exciting than any transfer window. Nicky Brown ('s a wally) introducing her? I was there. Threw a cheese sarnie at her and missed by a whisker. -

As always we have no expectations at all and they still find a way to disappoint us. Like asking for an orange for Christmas and you get burgled instead. couldn't resist.
-
Yeah, I was expecting to at least be underwhelmed.

jesus, pcp would know the TV money coming in for this season and the value of the assets (players) the club holds so if they spent £80m on players then it wouldn't change much but if he took £80m out reducing the loan and still wanted the same price for the club they'd rightly tell him to f*** off Well given that the next tv deal is expected to be worth even more, then next year the projected income of the club will be higher.

Pardew is going to save West Brom and Rafa is going to relegate the toon. Not looking forward to this season's post mortem.

yep like suck the last drop of cash from the clubs coffers and sell when the window closes. Once again though, the £250m valuation previously offered would be based on the fact he didn't bleed the club dry of cash I'd imagine. If he reaps £100m out this summer they're not still going to offer him the same price like. Not really, it's quite complicated but even if the fat c*** milk 100m out this year, the valuation of our club would not go down by that much. Won't be exact but they'll not offer the same money, not a f***ing chance man. I know, but in fact the same can be said on the opposite side. For example, the fat c*** spend 20m on Jorgensen. The valuation of Jorgensen from the buyers view may not be 20m and thus create further differences. I genuinely not surprised we spend nth this money as long as the fat c*** is really willing to sell. jorgensen would be an asset on the books and his value would be in the books determined by amortisation so it's totally different So Ashley could buy Shefki Kuqi for £100 mill and the value of the club wouldn't be affected?

No players and selling a Merino would be the final straw for me - more significantly, I expect it would be for Rafa too. After over a decade of this, how can anyone still require a "final straw"? What next, the final final straw? The very last straw? The absolute very last chance? They're playing ker-plunk, they're not transporting agricultural products across the desert.

Oh I don't know. If there was any truth in the argument that the takeover was affecting form due toplayers thinking their place was on the line, then our utter incompetence in the transfer market should be just the reassurance they need.
-
Lol as if we will sign a replacement People said the same thing when we sold Gascoigne to be fair. And we splashed out on Dave Beasant, Glyn Hodges and John Hendrie. That was in the good ole days though.
-
If that £100mil wasn't on the books at the time of their last offer, then it not being there at the next offer should have no affect. In fact Ashley could probably ask for £100 mil more if it is.

It's the only conclusion that can be arrived at. The real question is why? It's driving me mad trying to work it out. I can only guess that relegation hasn't had too much of a negative impact on SD share price. It's all the fat fuck cares about.

Nothing to lose and everything to gain. He'll either improve us or he'll get sent off and vindicate everybody.

Always the joker.

Nicolai Jorgensen to stay at Feyenoord

Aye $26 seems about right. -
Hoping to do something, and partaking in the behaviour that makes it more likely are two different things. I mean, I'm pretty sure Ashley 'hopes' we don't get relegated.

I reckon it was Mitro that caused Rafa's hernia, picking him up at the end of last season. Rafa's never forgiven him.
