The last 7 games doesn't look too bad, with the wins away to west ham and stoke, but christ if we cold have won just one of those home games. I know, really hope we're not looking back on those games at the end of the season wondering what if. I still feel positive about our chances as things stand though. Agreed. I suppose it depends on whether he felt he had a chance under Rafa. Would be nice to think he would try his best for him, like. I'm probably being way too charitable here, but maybe he knows he's not what Rafa needs, and understands that Rafa is vital to the club. He is a fan, after all.

I agree on the politician thing. I know 'its only football' but he's the kind of wilfully brazen fatcat who thinks nothing of shitting on the little fella to make a fast buck. There are very few footballers talented enough to justify still being picked if they're not putting the effort in during training. Unfortunately Mitrovic isn't one of them. Exactly this. If you're Romario or Ben Arfa or Georgie Best, sure, even the manager will be forced to pick you even if you turn up to training in a dress and drunk, but Mitro isn't exactly in that class. Might be worth trying the dress in the current climate.

Just an observation but we seem to defend much better at 0-0 looking for a goal, than at 1-0 looking to protect. Obviously the opposition has some influence on this, but we always seem to go straight into safety mode and it seems to cost us.
