Villa’s games either side of playing us will be the second leg against PSG and an FA Cup semi final.

This is all absolute gold for PIF. A monumentally big event being reported on globally, with no doubt every report referencing the owners. Whether that’s ’sportswashing’ or not is up to every individual to decide, but it’s firmly put to bed the ‘are PIF still interested?’ question if it hadn’t been already.

I do completely understand that, and obviously I’m not adverse to them wallowing in lower divisions forever more. But ultimately, we want to be comfortably beating them time and time again. Imagine how badly they would take a reverse #6inarow.

He’s not wrong though. Just read today it was the only time they had been two goals behind this season.

Seemed genuinely emotional talking about the giant flag of him.

Indifferent tbh. Watching them wallow in the lower divisions, whilst convincing themselves they have a squad of generational talents worth millions and millions is something to behold. However, playing and beating them is always a tremendous thing, so wouldn’t be adverse to that either. And given the way promoted clubs are struggling nowadays, seeing them recreate one of their sub-20 point relegations, would also be enjoyable.

Best find his pen to sign a new contract fairly sharpish then….

So why was it always considerably worse in early round cup games when there was far less ST holders there (before the cup scheme)?

Be worth it just to see Brexit Jim’s reaction if she doesn’t have any gardening leave contracted.

Probably right. Especially when he has a reasonable chance of being the main CF at every club in the league bar us and Man City (and maybe Forest 😬🤣).

Don’t think it’s the worst idea to park at the MetroCentre then bus/train in from there.
-
If the circumstances were right, they absolutely would.
-
If player says we’re who he wants to sign for? As was proven with the cup debacle, those in charge have no qualms accepting money from us.
-
Don’t think he needs it to be honest. He’s ready now. And should get significantly more game time anyway with the additional European games.
-
No chance of Miley going out on loan now. An injury to any of the top three lads and he’s arguably next in line.

Neil and Cirkin have only got one year left, so wouldn’t even get half those figures unless they sign a new deal. Think Spurs have got a sell on for Cirkin too.

Being sent out in alphabetical order. ‘R’ landed about 5ish.

He was right-back mind, and clearly he’s not a right-back. I thought he actually did reasonable, given the circumstances.

Hmmm. Not a long term strategy is it though. Appreciate that might be why they’ve got for players on loan in the last window, so they’re not stuck unable to afford wages, should they not make CL again. Perhaps their current approach should be viewed as a relatively risk-free short term gamble, but not one that’s likely to progress them if it doesn’t come off. Anyway, probably veering off ‘NUFC-specific’ here….
