  1. Surprising. Can’t see him making a success of that either. Stood next to him at a motorway services urinals once, and he’s not exactly well hung. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
  2. Well, at the very least she knows how to say the right things, which is more than that fat toad has managed to do in 11 years. She clearly sees the potential of the club and it’s importance to the City of Newcastle. I still think this takeover will happen, but it will probably be long and agonising for us fans unfortunately.
  3. In a couple of years time loads of them will list yesterday in their “Top 5 moments supporting the lads”. It will be just behind other mag-related moments no doubt.
  4. This is actually hilarious. PCP have called Ashley’s bluff and he’s spat his dummy out big time. I think he wrongly assumed that PCP were more desperate to buy than he was desperate to sell. He expected to get a very generous price for the club and for it all to be done with minimal transfer outlay from himself either before Christmas or early in the new year, but obviously it hasn’t worked out that way. PCP weren’t willing to fork out while there was a significant threat of relegation (mainly caused by Ashley not backing Rafa) and knew Ashley would have to spend in January to protect his investment, therefore it was easier for them to sit back and see what develops. My guess is that Ashley will probably sanction a reasonable amount of money for Rafa to strengthen the squad and PCP will be back with another bid if/when we’re safe from relegation. Business is business, they won’t be bothered about Ashley’s snidey comments about them being time wasters if they really want the club, which i think they do. His comments absolutely stink of a spoilt, fat, little c*** who didn’t get his cake for once. He knows he f***ed up and has responded the only way he knows how - by hoying his toys out the pram! So basically i think the takeover will still happen.
  5. If they did and we stay up and get taken over I'd love to see us get Lemina. Only really seen him once when we played them but he looked really good and just the kind of player we need. They’ve actually got 4 or 5 very handy players, which makes me think they’ll probably go on a run and get out of it at some point.
  6. I’d be very happy to see Liverpool’s feeder club go down. Absolutely pointless team.
  7. Is everyone really going crazy over this 1 story!? Ok i’ll join in! I’d go for a GK, CM, and Striker. Defnitely think those positions are the most important.
  8. Aye, this isn’t happening until we’re safe from relegation now i think.
  9. He was abysmal against Chelsea playing as a left wing back so probably not.
  10. Starting to wonder if there’s a deal in place, but only when/if we reach a certain amount of points by a certain date. Maybe PCP have calculated our chances of staying up and they’re willing to push the deal through once we’re in a decent position to retain our Premier League status. It might explain the lack of transfer activity and Rafa’s coolness about the situation. Hoping the target was 25 points by the 20th January and we grab the win we need today!
  11. What a knacker. I’d be amazed if Merson has ever watched a live Bundesliga game. He’s got zero knowledge of any other team apart from Arsenal so i doubt he willingly watches any forrin football. The bloke is a total bum.
  12. The media are still gutted we didn't get bummed 6-0 in our own back yard then i see. Even though we lost, it almost feels like we won the way they keep crying about it
  13. He's shit and he thinks he's fucking solid. Bet the mackems adore him the same as "Catts" and "Bally". Mutants.
  14. Absolutely disgusting that like! Poor kid.
  15. When did Beardsley slag off Robson and Keegan?
  16. Aye i've noticed that. Apparently if we take the lead in a game Rafa gets all the credit cos he's amazing, but then if we go on to lose the game it's all Ashley's fault. Makes sense.
  17. Not keen on Souare. He's ok going forward but a mess defensively, that's before taking into account what his accident may or may not have done to him.
  18. Amazing scenes! I love how outraged one of the commentators is. Sorry but you can't be human if you don't find that hilarious. The way the guy just jogs off as if he's got somewhere important to be is magic!
  19. Personally i'm all for VAR. I'm sick to death of complaining about incompetant refs who, probably just as often as not, either spoil the game or change the course of the result. The technology has been there for ages and it should have been used well before now. Unfortunately there will be a lot of snags to iron out in the next few years, which will see a lot of people in the game and media bitching on about how it's spoiled the game. I think eventually though we'll come across a good system that ticks all of the boxes (ie - helps the referee, gets the critical decisions correct, doesn't slow the game down or spoil the spectacle, possibly even increases it)
  20. Absolutely! I can deal with him getting out ran by more mobile midfielders at times if he adds more to our forward play. He clearly struggles to track runners for 90 minutes but he needs to start giving them the same problem when we've got the ball. I think i've said this before but a player of his ability should be getting between 5 and 10 goals a season.
  21. Any idea who his celebration was aimed at when he scored yesterday? He had his finger to his lips as if to tell someone to (sssshhh). Was just wondering if he was getting stick at the game or something. Also, it's not like he's proven anyone wrong by scoring the 3rd goal against Luton! Maybe if he starts stringing a few decent performances together then he might answer a few doubters.
  22. Funny you should say that! I just got an email from a very reliable source close to the club and they're 99% certain something HUGE will happen on Wednesday. I can't reveal any more because i'm absolutely full of shit and i'm just doing this to milk some attention and fill a sad little void in my life. Please follow me, ask me for updates and act like i'm relevant to something, it'll make me feel lush for a bit
  23. Personally i think Coutinho is a quality signing for Barca. I hope people don't try to compare him to Iniesta as they're completely different types of player. The understanding that Iniesta had with the likes of Messi and Xavi was incredible and a joy to watch, trying to measure Coutinho against that is unfair i think. What Coutinho definitely will give them is more goals from midfield, hasn't he scored more goals from outside the box than anyone else in the Premier League or Europe (can't remember which) for the last couple of years? That skill will be massive for Barca in games where the opposition decide to sit deep. Really looking forward to seeing him play for them.
