Can't have 3 Europeans in 1 group I think You're right it's only 2. Argentina and Sweden it is then -

Based on World ranking I think. Aye, world rankings suck though, seriously flawed system. I’ll take Poland, Iran, and Panama. Got a feeling Poland will be dangerous myself. Not too far from home so they will probably have huge support and they've some decent quality and a lot of experience in their squad. -

I don't undertstand why the host nation needs to be seeded in pot 1. Fair enough automatically qualifying but to probably be given an easy group aswell is unneccesary and f***s everything up. -

Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press
Away Day Gadgie replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
It's not just Mourinho singling him out yet. He is currently physically in an absolute state and performing appallingly for the U23s according to local accounts in the Manchester press. There are also several accounts of his inability to learn and improve. He is a pure waster. Two very good managers and he hasn't listened to them. Why would he follow Rafa? It won't happen because Rafa knows all this and would prefer to manage Dummett and use the money elsewhere if it came to a straight choice. I'm sure Rafa will look at left backs if he has funds but it won't be Shaw for sure. Aye this ? -

As if we all thought they'd broke down due to her daring to take in an England game. Thank fuck for that! I had a horrible feeling she might be buying England instead of us. -
That's the thing that annoys me to be honest, he's not even radge, he's just thick. He doesn't absolutely lose it or anything, it's usually just crude fouls that he's never gona get away with and don't benefit the team at all. If he went mental and choke slammed someone like Dele Alli or committed an outrageous chest high tackle on a dirty b****** like Cattermole then i'd genuinely love him "cos he's radge". Getting pointless cards and snarling in the ref's face is just f***ing dumb. Perfect choke slamming opportunity there

Aye Benitez is a chequebook manager. Hecks would win the World Cup if he had £700m to spend like the FSW has.

Good to see them moving swiftly to get a new manager in ?

I'll manage just fine without a country whose fans boo and whistle the national anthem of their opponents. Pretty sure England and a lot of other countries do the same. Not that i think it's ok but it's definitely not exclusive to the Italians.
-
Yeah agree with that. A lot of flair players are being phased out in favour of someone who can hold the shape of the team better or run for longer. Not too long ago, most sides had a "luxury player" but managers feel like they can't afford one nowadays, they're too scared to lose a goal.

Wow that is huge! Sad way for Buffon to go out at international level.

What a fucking night that was! Unbelievable!

I'm not sure who's worse, these supposed ITKs who strangely enough won't stick their neck out and say anything interesting or definitive, or the little knackers who feed their craving for attention by lapping up whatever s**** they come out with. Nee one knows anything IMO. -

That's a pretty "safe" statement from Edwards. Sounds like he also knows fuck all about it. -
No idea but i find it incredible that you noticed or even know what it is! Fair play

International break = Slow news week Like a lot of others, i'm calling bullshit on this one. -
Caught about half an hour of that Denmark/Ireland game last night and it was bloody awful. Long throws, 60 yard free kicks to the back post at every opportunity etc. It was like a classic Allardyce v Pulis Premier League game with less quality. If that's how they play all the time then i won't be in a hurry to watch either of them next summer.

Aye although i think Shelvey would be an asset to England, he hasn't really done enough to earn a call up. Not that i'm saying the others have mind as i haven't seen enough of them and i do think Southgate is crap. Shelvey comes with baggage so he's gona have to do a hell of a lot more to force a call up. I want to see more goals for a start, someone of his ability should be getting close to 10 goals a season IMO, and probably more assists aswell but that might prove difficult considering how shit our strikers are. Oh yeah and cutting out the petulant red cards might help his cause aswell.

The electric Sports Direct hoardings were black & white against Bournemouth, had never noticed that before. Even that would have been something if he'd done it from day one. The red & blue just looks tacky as f***. I've always thought this. Obviously a logo and colours are quite important to a company but i think it would've been a reasonable compromise to the crude way he decided to do it. Even just some black and white signs would've been a lot less antagonistic, which is probably why he's never done it until now. -

I believe Toonjam88 his story makes perfect sense. Wor lass' brother works in the box office and he reckons Staveley popped in last week to say hello and she asked them what they wanted when the staff room gets upgraded. They've been promised a toastie maker, a George Foreman and a new kettle. It's happening man!
