I support Newcastle because my Dad did so my siblings did so I did (I'm the youngest at 54). Don't know what the reasons were for my Dad's choice of allegiance but I'm happy with it. It may be that his Dad was a Newcastle fan but considering my Dad was born in 1926 I doubt it, whatever the original reasons were, year's of watching, err... not great football with a few good year's might pay off in the very long run. HTL!

See, I think it could be something as banal as ease of travel by train or whatever back in the day, a generation or two later and it's ingrained, Mam and Dad from Wingate and Hutton Henry, I was born and have been raised in Peterlee but my Dad was a Newcastle fan thankfully. As an aside, there's probably 50 or so go home and away from here and have been greeted on some occasions with "Ah, here's the Makem bus". The "Ashington branch" on the other hand are welcomed with open arms. Anyway, I fancy Wolves. To et tu brute btw.
