But in this now business world of football, there's really no obligation for the fans to be included in any capacity in the business dealings behind the scenes, as frustrating/helpless as that feels at times. What's it about? When the bright lights of Udine come calling... Just seems mental to me for him not to want to stay at the club he's worked so hard all his life to play for. I hope it's resolved as I'd very much like to see him develop here given our potentially very exciting future.

Problem is "Who is telling these stories?" And then "How credible are they"... Either way, there's a decent case for saying he's entitled to collect some cash as "backpay" Indeed. However should it be anywhere between 15-25, I think that's a reasonable offer given how little we have seen of him. If he was to turn it down I wouldn't be blaming the club for once.

Thought he had a chance, but when you consider Shearer didn't get going till he was 21 in the Premier League and had some career threatening injuries, there's some distance between the two in terms of quality as a centre forward. Shearer eclipses him in every single department.

Been an awful season overall tbf "Yeap" - Neesy One of the worst standards-wise across the league I think I've seen. Liverpool have been superb at times but have certainly been helped out by it in terms of running away with the title so early on.
