  1. What's also pissed me off is that the guy has had a bang average season and is definitely not the leader / player he was last year. If he thinks he knows this club and this city half - a fraction - of what is reality then he will know the extent of the absolute hate that we all feel for Ashley. He should have been far, far better than this. As has been said, he's not a wet behind the ears 19 year old anymore. Heading to Everton in the summer? Nothing, but nothing surprises me anymore. Sad life, isn't it?
  2. Sadly I actually think the scissors kick still amazes Ameobi

    Andy Cole

Forgive me if I am wrong but I thought the job of a centre forward was to score goals. Lots of them. Now I don't have the stats but I think I'm on pretty solid ground in suggesting that Andrew Cole is probably (if not THE) best goal per game player the Premiership has seen. Sherringham was gifted and a very intelligent footballer. Not an Andy Cole in a million years.
  4. So he's not changed in the years that he's been away?
  5. The awful truth is that any half decent player would not want to come to us. Why would he? Relegation material, shite owner, shite investment, shite prospect of decent football, shite prospect of playing in Europe. The only, only thing going for us is Rafa B. God I go sick just writing the sad truth.
  6. I too thought the same when I heard it. Or is it just mega wishful thinking? Let there be a god? Please?
  7. The thread should be closed down as it's a non existent conversation. This is a dead parrot, it has ceased to be......... We've got an awesome squads it stands, who the f**k needs more players of quality? We've got them by the score. Strikers? For f**k's sake we've got three of them, why bother with more? Gotta do the sane thing, keep the money - after all Ashley really needs it right now with all his troubles - and blame that useless Spaniard we have as a manger for our shocking performances. Nothing to do with the squad. Lord, I'm sick of whinging Geordies.
  8. I share your feelings and am with you 100%. I am 66 now and seen and done much in my life, both football and other stuff, but nothing, repeat nothing will ever take away the utter and complete sense of total joy - an almost euphoric inner feeling - of watching KK's teams play football. I lived in Manchester in '95, '96 and worked with lots of Man U 'fans'. I was heartbroken when we blew it, but immediately realised that they - the reds - were in as much awe of our team as I was. I would die an incredibly happy man if he couldever come back (chairman?) with the financial backing to give Rafa. Oh heady days!!!
  9. You and me - and a load of others - would happily fade away with anything above a million. But he's not like us. He's driven. Richer, richer, richer. Tread and shit on everyone. He doesn't care or give a shit. Make money. more money. Destroy our club. Pay his staff fuck all. Treat people like shit. Make more millions. Be a cunt. He will go on and on and on and on. And then he WILL implode. I promise you. They all do. One day, please god let us be soon. Very soon. So we can all watch him burn. And smile. And put more petrol on the fire.
  10. I think the answer is that he's a greedy cunt.....
  11. I actually think that a SD collapse is potentially the most likely. Either that or FCB needs loads of cash to further his investment in HOF or Debenhams. God wouldn't that be just heaven? Happy if No. 1 happens first though! I never thought I would hate someone as much as the man who is doing everything to destroy the club I love. Have loved?
  12. The only thing that gives me a tiny, miniscule glimmer of hope is that if it were Ashley inventing this as propaganda to suit his own cause, why has Peter Kenyon not come out and said 'nothing to do with me guys'? Surely if it was fake news he'd be onto it pretty damn quickly? So?.......
  13. HTT, I love reading your posts because you have a real understanding of the passion, and compassion of KK. He was, and will always will be for me, more than 'just a manager' he was a hero who saved my - our club - and gave us some of the most extraordinary nights of the most beautiful and mesmeric football I have ever seen. (seriously on a par with Barca at their best and present day Man City). I was born in '52 and saw my first game in a bleak and forbidding SJP with around 40,000. An ageing Jim Illey was booed, but then I got to see most of the Fairs Cup games in '69 and was in heaven - that team was so, so good. Jinkin' Jim Smith, Tony Green, Super Mac, Pedro Beardsley, Shearer all gave me such unimaginable joy in an era (generally of utter dross) Think of the seriously poor managers we had after Joe Harvey - the list is horribly long. But when KK arrived as a player life changed. Oh Lord did it change! Not only could he play but he cared. He cared about his fellow professionals, he showed them better ways. He helped them develop. The helicopter farewell?? Wow! Showtime! Then, as manager- the drop to third tier football so perilously close. He made magic and we had a team playing with skill, flair and determination. Like KK really. Then the glorious days of '94 onwards when we walked in dreamland. Yes, his tactical failings may have cost us the Premiership title, but I would rather have watched us play his way and come second than any other way and win. Honestly, it was that good. He cared about the club, the fans, the people who worked hard to get to see a match, the town, the people who working in the club. Complete and total honesty. The second coming, at a time when I actually thought Ashley might be good for the club - financial prudence at a time when spending was going crazy. KK was clearly out of sorts throughout his second stint. Now we know why. That utter bag of shite has treated EVERYONE - fans, managers, the town, the club, the Premier League even - with such total contempt. I can't tell you how much I hate him and want so badly to see the day when he is gone from the club I have loved all my life. I will open a bottle of the best Champagne I can afford when he goes. Pray it will be soon. Get your shite arse out of our club, Ashley. Go for Gods sake, go.
  14. For all his faults, those were days when we smelled the dream, the utter joy of Keegans football, the taste of glory. Not fulfilled but so, so near........I can only dream of such times ever coming again...
  15. Interesting, Slimani isn't ever mentioned. I know he f'ed up big time but he, surely, is better than Rondon?? Or Jocelu? or any of our so called strikers these days?
  16. The guy hasn't been the same one that set our game alight when he first came to Chelsea. Dead and buried now, burnt out? Sad copy of the great manager he once was. Shame, I liked the old version...
